There really is an Aspergian Elder Council? Someone mentioned it before, but i
thought it was a joke. What is the Aspergian Elder Council if you don' mind me asking?

no, we don't mind you asking.

Oh i see, its some kind of a clique.

no, more of an experiment, bunnies aren't in a clique when they get hair spray sprayed into their eyes, are they?

I've learned that I am completely unable to convince anybody to anything.

So now I just say what I'm doing and tell the other person, and if they want to join me, they can.

Volunteer. When I was in college I volunteered to help handicapped people and ended up meeting my husband through those connections. I worked with a guy named Randy who had cerebral palsy and would read his longer sophomore English assignments to him since he had a hard time keeping still. It was through him that I met my future husband.

I second that.

Volunteering is a fabulous way to do a number of great things:
1. It looks GREAT on your resume
2. People LOVE you regardless, because you're giving yourself for free!
3. You can leave any time you want!
4. You can figure out if a certain area is something you're interested in. Like a hospital.

Lastly, I have ONE friend, and I met him when I was volunteering. Just a coincidence, but still....

I don't know that I even have the url anymore.

Hold on...I'll go look for it...nope, can't find it.

Another member started it, and it did well until it got flamed by somebody from Intensity Squared. It's no secret.

Wait 30 minutes before hitting 'send' or 'submit' button if you're in a bad mood.
Or even over night.

If you buy a house that's a fixer-upper because it's cheap, intending to spend the time and money to fix it up, you won't. It's not worth buying a house if you know you need to do a lot of work on it.

I'm hating learning this lesson as we try to fix up our fixer-upper to sell.

You can get a lot more money from your used textbooks if you sell them on Amazon than if you try to sell them at your school's buyback thing.

If you get cornered into having a conversation with an NT you won't see again, the following works quite well. Do not try this with fellow employees.

Interview them like you were doing it on TV. Ask them about themselves. NT's LOVE to talk about themselves. Once they start nattering away, just ask 'really?' when they pause, or exclaim 'wow !' This works jolly good for hair cutters. I went for my quarterly trim and the young lady had wot I would call a goth style to her hair. I asked her about this, and said really and wow for the next twenty minutes while I got my trim. Worked like a charm.

Never do this with fellow employees, or they will mistakenly think you're actually fascinated by their humdrum life, and will seek you out to jabber at, thus making a bloody nuisance of themselves.

That's me! Surprised My Mom made my "friends" for me, too, by befriending all the neighbors.
