What learning styles are you? I'm wondering if everyone's about the same here...

As of Pugly's post, Reflective (5-0), Intuitive (4-1), Verbal/Visual (3-3), Global (3-1)

Let's keep this up and get an aspie learning profile...

Definitely I would be a high reflective-intuitive-verbal learner. The way I learned most of the mathematics I studied was by reading text books, thinking a lot, and then hanging out with professors. Same thing with biology. I did poorly in the basic calc courses but excelled in the upper level math theory classes, and also in the upper-level political philosophy courses (my degree was Political Theory cum laude wit 40+ hours of math theory courses, and another 50+ of philosophy courses and 18+ of biology Directed Study courses). Verbally, I always score really dam high on verbal based IQ tests and I tend to remember everything I read. Very interesting to see it broken down though, thanks for the link!

I'm certainly more active than reflective, although I certainly can be reflective sometimes.
The other ones are black and white for me, there's no way I'm not more intuitive, visual, and global.

I think the way we process information is definitely indicitave of how our brains our wired... I'm currently trying to figure out how mine is because none of the mental "disorders" really describe me well even though I know I'm not neurotypical.

Reflective-Intuitive-Visual, and I think I'm a sequential learner, but I'm a global thinker.

I didn't take that test, but off the top of my head... as long as I wrote something down once or highlighted it in a textbook, I would remember it. If I didn't, I wouldn't. Often I would write down a whole lecture or highlight almost a whole chapter just so I could remember it. Sounds crazy, but it's true.

There's no test to take. It just describes the 4 categories and you pick whether you are one type or the other.

I'm about equally active and reflective, possibly with a slight leaning towards a reflective learning style.

More of an intuitor than a sensor, although I can work well using both approaches.

Slightly more verbal than visual.

And very much a global learner.

I am reflective, sensing, verbal, sequential. I am surprised that many are saying they are global learners as I thought focusing on details and missing the big picture was an AS trait.
I tend to be a much more active learner if someone has outlined a task for me already. Like at work they have the basics of what a program is going to do and just need the coding done I dive right in and start writing without really giving any thought to it. But when I have to structure something myself I am much more reflective.

I'm adding this up to get a general profile, so it would be appreciated if you wrote the answers down... There's probably already studies on this, but I think this can be a big help in both learning in the best way suitable for you and communicating to the teachers your learning style...

i don't put much stock in these tests that only offer two narrow answers per question. my answers vary depending on the situation and context. nothing about me or my personality can be summed up by "a. or b.". i need questions like "on this given day with this given temperature and (X)dB noise and X% humidity and the moon is in the house of aquarius etc etc ad nauseum, would you be likely to exhibit any number of A. through Z. on a scale of 1-100". and even then i cant be certain of my answer.
