Be careful how you express that, you don't want old farts blaming your music for your problems. _________________ 255 characters max. Type your signature with HTML coding |

What would be funny: a bully tries to get someone in a guillotine choke and all they do is elbow the bully in the stomach, get out and hit him around the ears. _________________ THOUGHT IT WAS THE END.

I voted for physical. Being beaten up, kicked, spit on - this was really depressing me during school days. Other forms bullying, from more to less unnerving:
1. Having my things stolen and hidden (esp. glasses) - this was quite distressing; I hate when my things are not where they should be.
2. Name calling - I'd say it was bearable, compared to other violence.
3. Ignoring / exclusion - OK. I actually wanted my classmates to just leave me alone. I felt uneasy in a peer group anyway. |

I would have to say definitely emotional/mental; emotional/mental abuse causes physical abuse, either to yourself or others. _________________ I am a 19 year old girl who lives in Washington State and was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at 9 years old. I say kill the bullies. Yet no one follows my ideas. _________________ THOUGHT IT WAS THE END.

I voted physical, but it's really elements of both. I don't mind name-calling by itself, but when it's used as a device to turn everyone against me so they side with the bully when the teacher asks what was happening, then it sucks. It was times that I feared my well-being, wondering when they were going to give me a concussion and end up blaming me for it (someone would find some way to blame me), that was what bothered me. Emotional/mental abuse just didn't affect me anymore after eight years of it; being physically vulnerable to a group of four or more boys and having no means to convince the faculty to exact repercussions, that was Difficult. _________________ "Public transportation is for jerks and lesbians." --Homer Simpson

| I'm really in no position to answer this poll, as I've never been physically bullied. I have had more than my fair share of emotional bullying, and it still bugs me to this day, so I could see where people are coming from when they say that emotional bullying stays with you for longer than physical bullying. But at the same time, I do admit to having a pretty low threshold for physical pain. |

the physical pain has an emotional side to it, which hurts alot more then the actual pain of being hit or whatever they do. So I guess emotional pain hurts more because it can lead to physical pain on yourself and it will stay with you forever, though the physical bullying can just be seen as what happenned at the time. _________________ "A flower plucked carelessly and left to wilt.." |

From my experience it's been a mixture of both.
Emotional is far far worse.
I put up with being used as a boy's punching bag for two years (probably has something to do with the fact i "hate" men) but a simple thing like being left out treated nastily, your best friend turning on you for no reason, ect would make me cry. |
