Does anyone here like the show 'House'? I love the show, since it contains lots of factual information about the medical world to improve my medical knowledge (which isn't that big at all). It's also unpredictable and doesn't contain as much social stuff, at least that's what I think. _________________ I am a 19 year old girl who lives in Washington State and was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at 9 years old. I love House... apart from some of the gory stuff which I suppose you'd have to expect from a medical drama... it's the only one of that type of show that I watch.
Hugh Laurie is just perfect for the part of Dr. House - in pain, but still able to cater to his patient's needs jovially... sometimes jokingly.
Yeah. Love that show! _________________ We are one, we are strong... the more you hold us down, the more we press on - Creed, "What If"

| I like the show, but I just can't buy Hugh Laurie as a gruff American. He's supposed to be a posh English toff...he's Jeeves! |

| I always watch it (I have a DVR and so can always watch those few shows I really like). They are usually shows with socially dysfunctional protagonists like House, Monk, Judging Amy, etc. |

| So do people in America find his accent in that show convincing? 'Cause when I first saw the show I was very suprised to hear Hugh talking like that! |

I didn't know he was British. |

I was fooled. And yes, I like the show; though I've only seen it a couple of times. |

Wait, the guy's not American? I would've never guessed, I'm so used to foreign accents because of where I work.
I like the show. _________________ (Currently undergoing personality reboot) |

Wait, Hugh Laurie was on Blackadder?!
I love this show - I think House has some very aspie sort of tendiencies (though probably caused by his rather tragic life - not neurology - though if you watch 'Three Stories' there is the possiblity of minor brain damage) . . . I love his logic and streight-forwardness . . .
I had the same reaction when I found out Hugh Laurie was Brittish - in fact, I set my TiVo to try to find an interview with him and I was just floored by how he really talks - unlike someone like Sam Neil you really can't hear his accent at all (well, Sam Neil is Australlian, but you get the idea) - I've never heard an hint that he doesn't speak with an American accent all the time when I've seen 'House'
I had to run out and buy the box set tonight since I'm sick and I figured a candy bar and a couple of hours of 'House' would make me feel better . . . |

Sam Neill is actually a New Zealander. He spends alot of his time either in New Zealand or Australia.
