My father did this a lot. Once, he found a bookcase, filled with books! Another time, he found some wooden kitchen chairs. One of them turned out to be haunted. But that is another story. Wink

Vacuums I find pretty often here too. Not far from a college myself...we have mountains of furniture sometimes curbside.

Found two really nice sewing machines last week...newer Brother, and a Singer with a ton of stitch functions...both work great, although one needs a new foot pedal.

Went to a few sales yesterday and a brake line went on my truck so I'll have to close my eyes if I see anything good this week until the gas guzzling beast is fixed.

What brilliant finds, Beenthere. I can't understand why people throw stuff away that works, but maybe I'm just a hoarder, lol.

I got a nice bookcase that way a few years ago, out of a builder's rubbish skip.
