Like most of you people, I have seen trailers for a fall TV show called Chuck, set to premiere on NBC on September 17th.
Socially inept guy named Chuck unknowingly has many secrets about top-secret intelligence that he doesn't know he has. Enter hot blond secret agent chick who protects Chuck from crime organizations who will do at nothing to kill Chuck.
From the trailers, do you think Chuck has Aspie traits?

That's what that show is about? I was wondering about it. I'm not sure about aspie traits though. At least from what little I've seen it doesn't seem like it. Not to me anyway.

I hope not! The promos make it look like he's a clueless Computer Geek.
If he is an Aspie, let's hope Chuck is put into a positive light, like Harry Potter was in a positive light about being Nerdy.  |

Old thread but what the hey.
I really liked this show, but I don't think Chuck wasn suppose to be an Aspie. He's just a sort of sad sack kind of charatcer who's an magnet for sorry luck, pathetic friends and bad guys with guns.
Yeah, he's a nerd. But just a nerd. He's shy and a little guillable, but he actually seems the most NT character in the show, aside from his sister. |
