I collected snails and woodlice as a child... I didn't keep them, of course, but I wheeled them about in a pram.
I collected all kinds of buttons.
Also had a thing for batteries and swallowed one once.
I collected erasers(rubbers) in all shapes and sizes.
Also started collected antique oddities from a fairly young age.
Antique dolls, antique cameras, old newspapers, old photos, old journals...anything with peoples' memories.
Antique books... amazed I don't collect old people too
I used to also keep all leaflets, tickets etc from vacations to the USA.
I used to bring home feathers I found too.
I have always been a collector. |

I collect...
Hot sauce bottles, various things from vacations, fortune cookie fortunes (my favorite fortune is "Every house has a bathroom"), books, videotapes, DVDs, rocks, koozies, things from car shows and RV shows...the list goes on like this.

At one point I collected dirt samples from places I had been. When I was pretty young. I'm not sure why I stopped, probably had to do with parental disapproval.
For a while I collected rocks. I guess I figured if I wasn't collecting dirt, rocks would do. I still have a very large, smooth one I grabbed while I was in Pennsylvania at one point.
I collected fortune cookie messages at one point, though not all that seriously I guess, as I always seem to lose the collection and start it over.
I've got a collection of assorted computer parts that I'll likely never use again. I never really wanted to sell them off.
Knives. I don't really collect them, I just like having knives. Lots of knives. Different types of knives. I guess it is blades in general, I like swords too.
Had a patch collection at one point. All sorts of patches. Again, was when I was much younger. My mother wound up taking most of them and putting them onto a jacket for me. Little did I realize it made me look like a complete idiot when I wore it. Thankfully I wasn't all that old. |

I've slimmed down my collecting over the years, sold many things and started anew on something else...mostly fabric, antiques, computer parts (not really trying to collect those it just happened ), old bottles, junk (not really trying again here on that one either) now.
The list over the years is a long one though...
...rocks, coins, dawn dolls, matchbox cars, arrowheads, jewelry, anything to do with air-cooled VW's (including at times the cars themselves), records, patches here too (mostly to do with motorcycles)...and I'm probably missing a few I can't think of.
...my parents where/are both aspies...between the two of them we had collections of cookbooks, owls, wedgewood, aladdin lamps, penknives, old locks, tools, old boat photos, etc. _________________ *Normal* is just a setting on the dryer. |

I still have two signs from a vintage railway line--OXENHOPE and BAR & TEAS.
I came very close to buying an authentic kukri once, even though it was £50--I thought it would look nice over the bed for some strange reason. |

Let's see... in some kind of chronological order...rocks in a yellow pail that sat on my porch as a kid, dog figurines, plush dogs, Johnny Cash albums, baseball cards, those puzzles that used to come with Donruss baseball cards, big band albums, Magic:The Gathering (short-lived, in 8th grade), musical instruments (i'm a trombonist), video games like NES, SNES, Sega, all the ones I rented and played as a kid...vinyl records, anything else "vintage" that I manage to find interesting...
Basically, these days it revolves around what I remember from my not-so-distant childhood or what my parents could have had as kids... |

I used to collect anything related to horses; for awhile, almost everything I had related to horses in some way. Even though they're no longer an obsession, I still have quite a few horse items around my room. Then I collected frog items, although never as intensely as horse items.
For awhile I also collected rocks and seashells; I know I still have some of the seashells, but I think I got rid of most of the rocks. I also had a ton (well, more like 100+) tiny seed pearls that I refused to throw away.
Now I collect soda bottle caps. I also have far more nickels and gold dollars than is normal (outside of a collection), but I don't collect them: they're Christmas gifts from my grandparents who don't remember what they get us, and thus just give us boxes of them every year. It's the thought that counts. _________________ “I shall not commit the fashionable stupidity of regarding everything I cannot explain as a fraud.” - C.G.Jung |

I used to collect unicorns and more unicorns. Then it was cows in my 20's and now it is yarn, yarn, books about natural health and nutrition, yarn, pattern books for knitting, needlework and cross-stitch, cross-stitch floss, other books, and of course, more yarn! _________________ It is what it is....... |

I collect memories, some good, some bad.
I also collect soda cans and water bottles of beverages that I have consumed over time.
I can remember where I was and what I was doing when I finished each can or bottle.
I think it's good to remember the past sometimes. |

I used to collect everything Star Wars. I would keep ever newspaper article, every magazine, every fast food toy, every action figure, book, comic book, etc that i could get a hold of. It was an expensive habbit. I still have all of it now, and i cant bring myself to get rid of it. I still add to it occasionally, especially the books.
I also collect pink panther dolls. |

In my younger years I had a huge comic book collection. Then I gave them all to my brother and started collecting records instead. I was up to over 400 albums by the time I left home.
More recently: Coffee cups; stuffed penguins (at least thirty); dragon-related anything (stuffed toys, sculptures, paintings, and a substantial body of Dragonlance books, paintings and whatnot... Easily several hundred items there); plus a huge crystal bowl full of semi-precious stones and a closet full of musical gear. |
