All this war talk is crap anyway, because the whole mess could have been avoided, had the US taken the initiative and bothered to try and work something out. If not, the CIA could have done something. F*ck the Geneva convention, terrorism isn't covered by it.
Actually, to a certain extent, I agree with Saddam Hussein; America did bring it on themselves in regard to their operations in the middle east, supporting Israel, lying about why they were there (WMDs) and trying to pinch all the oil for themselves. The Sept 11 thing should never have happened, though, and it's because of a world-domination mindset that the Americans got it in the bum. War is stupid by any means, and you'd think after umpteen failures that they'd realise this. Apparently not. Frankly, to be honest, the Yanks should pull out entirely, let the Iraqis get bogged down in civil war, and let them all destroy themselves. Don't waste the effort on them if they aren't willing to look after themselves. Thin the herds. BTW, Venezuela is a huge producer of oil anyway.....

I have a serious issue with certain people in this group of forums, who take great pleasure in abusing the bejesus out of people they don't agree with. And when others retaliate to these certain people, they cop insults like 'moron, emo, retard etc. Well I'm not taking any more of this sh**. I've copped at least two threads or more of abuse from people recently like snake321, iamnotaparakeet, JonnyBGoode, Wiggerbeater, Remnant, and heaps of others. I expect to be treated to some courtesy if I give my opinion, whether it's on bearing arms in the US, or pulling troops out of Israel, or religion or whatever. If I am abused or have names thrown at me, I will not cop it on the chin, I will fight back. And if you check out the threads on 'People being robots' and the gun issue, you will see I have done that. Now if these perpetrators like the abovementioned feel aggrieved and want me banned, then that proves what idiots they really are, and they should cop the same as well. I am not going to be punished for having my say while these people can get away with murder just because they think the internet belongs to them. WrongPlanet belongs to everyone, not just a select few Americans, and these people better get used to it.

You live in America, you enjoy the freedoms that America posesses, you enjoy the education that is available to Americans, and you waste them both, proclaiming from the heavens how awful America is and how you can't wait to leave it (even though a couple years since I gave up posting here regularly, you're still living in the States...).
And completely ignorant of history and common sense - which, considering you live in America is completly inexcusable - you side with the Palestinians over the Israelis. You side with one of the greatest nations in the world - a leader in science and human rights - with a bunch of humans that choose to act like animals.
There is no excuse for anyone to side with the Palestinians. Never. Ever. Not ever. All the Israelis have tried to do with their honestly obtained land is make peace, and all the Palestinians do in response is try to kill more Jews.
And there is no excuse for you to be so completely idiotic. |

Mc_Jeff's response illustrates an interesting tidbit about the Arab-Israeli conflict: many of Israel's supporters believe its existence is still essential to the survival of the Jewish people, and thus, see anyone who's against Israel as being against Jews in general. This is, in large part, the reason that Israel tends to be less than delicate when it comes to its own security and defense. Ironically, this makes the protestations against Israel even louder, thus feeding back into the "world is out to get us" mindset -all in all a rather interesting dynamic.
Before anyone jumps on my post, please remember that I'm trying to steer the discussion of this rather controversial topic back towards more rational discourse. While I suppose screaming at each other is more viscerally satisfying, it accomplishes absolutely nothing, and will probably result in badly hurt feelings and/or ejection from the WP.net community. |
