I got my Rolling Stones tickets this week! They are playing on September 3rd, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, where I was born. It's going to be an awesome concert! I figure there's not much time left to see the stones live.

First, they are famous and proven that
age doesn't mean anything! Yay!

I hate their music and prefer something
more subtle! Ooh!

I like that the fact they tour, because they
are like Aerosmith, a touring band and
CD's are stictly promotional and doesn't
reflect their true spirit and character.

Age 62, Mick Jagger and a gazzilion kids!

Age 61, Kieth Richards and something
of a medical miracle that death must
be envious of!

Age 65, Drummer, that's all I know about him.

Age 58?, Ron Wood, band member since
1974?

Otherwise I know very little about them
other than they have been together
for 45 recording years.

But, regardless of my vaguities of the
Rolling Stones, I have UPMOST respect
for them saying age-smage! Let's Rock,
and I hope you too! AT THE CONCERT.

Sincerely,
Ghosthunter

I guess it's nice that they still tour, but havn't made a decent album in decades. They get by solely by playing hits from the '60s that they don't even own the rights too (that's what you get for not reading your manager's contract). Do they really have a reason for existing, other than playing "Satisfaction" to a crowd of old Baby Boomers? It's kind of sad, really.

Still, enjoy the show.

Well good for you. So are they playing indoors or outdoors, and how much did the tickets cost?

Here in the Central Valley on November 20th, they are coming to the Save Mart Center (13,000 seat arena, more for concerts) in Fresno. $60-160 a seat and tickets begin selling on June 10th in the morning, and I am sure they will sell out quickly since they haven't been in Fresno for about 30 years, so people here I am sure are crazy about it as you are.

They may be old, they may drive some of their older fans away. But they are legends and they are known to put on a show and people would do anything to see them. Just look at the concert box office rankings online. They are on top on lots of them.

woo yay hoopla, absolute zero! i envy you.

and ignore all these young sprogs who have no concept about what reall R&B is. i do agree that they're no where near as cutting edge as they were (obviously), but i bet their shows are still awesome.

do let us know what it was like.

i felt the same way when i got my tattoo you tour tickets - congrats, but i betcha you'll be able to see them in concert 20 years from now.

they really are the greatest rock and roll band in the world. and they always get crap from people, ever since day 1. but nobody rocks like keef and nobody ever will and he will till he dies, and maybe longer than that (i'm not entirely sure he lived through the 70's... it's hard to tell).

of course he won't die - he's too well preserved by all those chemicals he's shoved in himself! anyway, if he did, how would we know? he's looked like a corpse for the best part of thirty years... Smile

I read one time that the Stones were one of the 50 bands to see before you die. Maybe they should be the band to see before they die. Laughing Wink
