I have a question.

Why do you use the word "queer"? It sounds derogitry. Also there are several lesbians here, it just might take them a while to reply.

Nothing wrong with "queer." Just reclaiming the word.

Bi-sexual here, leaning towards women. There are some gold card lesbians on the site; just be patient.

Metta, Rjaye.

the word -queer- has been on this planet for eons..we used it in parades since the 70's, it's just a word that has been around for a long time. Even womyn which is spelled with with out the -man- I hope that doesn't sound derogatory to you hale-bopp. gold card? are you speaking of plastic..Rjaye

I took a few women's studies classes in college, wherein I learned that queer is a word that has been "reclaimed". It originally meant "odd", then it was used in a derogatory manner towards people who aren't straight, then the GLBT community decided to start using it in a positve way in order to counteract its power as an insult. It's a convenient word to use because it refers to the whole GLBT spectrum. I don't know of any other word that is that inclusive.

Anyway, I'm bi. Nice to meet you.

Why are you all getting stuck on a definition? Quit acting like Aspies! Laughing

The question is really quite simple- are you a woman that enjoys sex with other women?

This is an incredibly unique thread. Wink

Just this afternoon, while I was supposed to be working, I thought to myself how funny it was that I was recently accused of being 1/2 sister. I tend to attract a wide variety of people from all different walks of life . I know ALOT of sisters.

Only, a couple I know recently asked me (after an in depth conversation about why I knew so many sisters and if I secretly desired a life makeover), if I was.

I have concluded that it is likely because I am the MOST incredibly open person. I have the most interesting and fascinating tales. Now, if only I could find a way to socialize and tell those tales Wink

Sorry, ladies, not gay, just open to the lifestyle. Very Happy

I am bisexual. I've always wanted to know what it's like to be with a woman, but it is very hard to meet one.
