Lady Gaga is crap. She has good taste in liking David Bowie and Queen (she got the Gaga part of her name from the Queen song "Radio Gaga"), but her music is just boring old pop dance music. Lady Gaga is crap.
Lady Gaga is okay; at least she's interesting. Heh. Disco stick. Heheheheheh. I think her popularity makes her susceptible to hatred by people like us who get easily annoyed by the insipid cultural cesspool that surrounds us.

that's a good point... but my point was I liked her WAY before she was popular. She was like my thing that nobody knew about and it kind of made her more special to me. Now everyone likes her and I'm happy for her, but I feel less special. haha
I hated Lady Gaga at first (couldn't stand her in fact) but then on a dare bought the album and listened to it quite alot. Really enjoy her music now. She kind of grows on you. If you doubt her talent check this out:
She just announced a new world tour. I have tickets to see her in Montreal and Ottawa next month.

I really hate to say this but - my first gut reaction when I saw Lady Gaga and one that's pretty much remained to this day, they're gonna find out that there's a guy underneath all that make up.

thank you so much for posting that!! It made my day. I saw her in Washington DC and it was definetly one of the best nights of my life. I had a hard time getting someone to go with me though...Eventually, this girl I don't know very well went because I gave her the ticket for free.

And there's also the part where she lip-syncs. _________________ My site: Thoughts of an Autistic (last updated August 2009)
Her records are IT right now- my main weapon in the battle to pack the dance floor.
So shes doing something right.
Packing the dance floor is hard to do- especially if the crowd is sober and White and its still light out- like at that pool party I did a couple months ago.
So the mercenary business part of me loves her for saving my ass in a job situation.
But the music lover side of me- well.
It IS the same old formulized dance pop- but she gives it a quirky edge that is kinda different and interesting. Not obsessed with her, but I like her.

I've really never in my life understood how white yuppy pop fan minds work. I went to school with them, I watched what they grew up on, the problem is - I really get the impression that they would have to be occupying a parallel universe altogether to love the stuff they do and then absolutely clear the dancefloor and never come back if someone else put on something they liked, even if it was far more danceable. I can understand psychosis in one person but unified psychosis, so strong that your job is dictated by 'get THE most popular song on the radio or get the ax to your job' ... it would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
I heard Lady Gaga's Poker Face on South Park and I had to look her up.
I'm kind of a sucker for techno-pop so I might be on my way to being a Lady Gaga fan...despite the fact that she UG-GLAY! XD
Anyone else think "There's Nothing Else I Can Say" sounds like one of those smooth pop songs straight from the 1980s?
A lot of her songs sound like they're from the 80's. When I first heard Just Dance, I thought it was an 80's song I'd never heard. And the song is called "Eh Eh, there's nothing else I can say" by the way. And she's not ugly, by the way.

Just watched an interview and I think it answers some questions. Seems like she's just really eclectic. I can give her props at least in that she seems like she's keeping it real enough.
