...animation Very Happy He adores cartoons, especially all the ones on Cartoon Network like Ben 10, Ed Edd n Eddy, Robot Boy & loves to draw them himself on MS Paint. This is a montage I made of his latest drawings on ms paint with the exception of one on google sketchup of ed, edd n eddy. On the google sketch up drawing he downloaded the background but drew all the charactors. He is only 5 yrs old btw & is now asking me is there any programmes we can download that lets you make your own cartoon charactors move!!

Your son is 5?! Wow! Very impressive.

My son also loves cartoons on TV and in print (he's 11) and only a few times has he wanted to draw them. He wants to watch them AND read about them -he can probably tell you more trivia about The Simpsons than you would ever want to know. I guess I'm feeding his Simpsons habit because I found a bunch of Simpson books on this book swap site I belong to and I ordered 3 of them - He has also read a book on the history of comics, he likes the really old comic strips but they are hard to find in book form. He's read collections of Dick Tracy, Blondie, all the Calvin and Hobbes books (we own them all), he went through a Garfield phase but doesn't enjoy it anymore. He is a voracious reader of all books but he will read anything in comic book form. We just went to see the movie "WALL-E" -really neat animation.

My son also is obsessed with Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

There ARE some interesting questions like, if he knows everything from the beginning, WHY create the non believers? If there is REALLY free will then why don't we all know all the fact so it will REALLY be free will, and not just a senseless gamble? And what was with the angles, created as servants, turning on God?

It is a nice concept but, frankly, I like people being decent and honest because they are decent and honest, and NOT because they fear the wrath of someone/something.

These are really good programs. But they're very expensive, costing hundreds of dollars. They'd probably make a great birthday, Christmas, or back-to-school gift.

If you want to encorage his intrest you may have to spend a little. Many an intrest of mine was squashed because it was "too expensive".

poser
http://my.smithmicro.com/win/poser/index.html
costs some money but worth it.

You may have to help him with the interface at first.

http://sketchup.google.com/
free, easy to use, can be making his own cartoons using that and printscreen plus paint in 15 minutes.
