I was just let go from my job and couldn't be happier. My employer was taken over by a bunch of loud-mouthed, alcoholic jock types and there was an immediate dislike between us. Almost all of the companies proprietary knowledge is locked up in my head so I don't know what they're going to do. I was given a nice severance that covered my mortgage with plenty left over. I also had significant savings too. I'm going to spend time with my son and parents this summer and go to school in the fall. I'm going to get some medical tech certifications. I only want part-time work from here on out so I can resume some of my old obsessions. Semi-retirement at 41 is looking good. Sometimes the Aspie freak wins.

I'd only been gone for four hours and my former boss called me up with a bunch of questions. I told him you just fired me so why are you calling? I told him that my consulting fee is $200 per hour with a minimum 8 hour charge. NT's are just so damn stupid.
