I'm always wondering if Autism gives you secret abilities Neurotypicals don't have. Like for example, when I was talking to my group teacher (the Teacher I see when it's time for social group) she showed me a picture of her kids, and I said "The look like they like Waffles!" And she was surprised because she told me they ate Waffles every day! Another example was when my parents and I were watching the 100 scariest move moments and I kept teling them "Jaws" was number one! And what movies was at the end of the count down? JAWS, OF COURSE!

So what do you all think of "Autism Superpowers"?

Maybe you're just psychic and it's unrelated.

I can predict multiple things - funny cos a lot of it involves numbers. I once predicted that I would see a girl I liked providing I had the timing which was perfect Cool

I work better when I'm not working. I go away from the problem and solve it from a round of equations in my head - and it works

I can see spot on what is happening in human relationships, although I can rarely communicate what that is to the participants of the interactions. When I can, I am gratified that they prove me right

Umm...maybe being able to hear really, really well.

Like one time I was able to tell what kind of car was coming up behind me because of the wind resistince I could hear.
And I can hear my neighbour's phone from inside my house...and the time I heard a friend's cell phone go off while on a busy street long before he did and it was in his pocket.
Hearing someone aproach on gravel in the middle of the night from a long way off.

That's all I got.

Oh -what about high tollerence to pain?

Super-clumsy some times. Very Happy
Like yesterday, just took a shower, I took out some ice cream and you guess, all over me.

Maybe one thing is that with certain people I have an uneasy feeling and later I found out they had bad intents. Related to that: I have a instant feeling of hate (or fair) towards certain people, I can not explain it and it still remains.

It is completely irrational, but it probably serves some purpose. Maybe it is just an instinct, like most NTs have mastered perfectly.

You remind me of this character in a book by Madeleine L'engle who was really hypersensitive and could sniff out people's personalities... I suspect he might have been aspie or high-functioning...anyway, he could tell when customers at his father's shop were untrustworthy even if they didn't look it.

Unfortunately when it comes to people I do not have that feeling about, then I miss a lot of clues and things. So definitely no feelings about fine details in the character.

That's my department. I played football (terribly) for years, and being one of the smaller ones, got tackled in the most vicious ways possible. The sad part is I enjoyed it and was addicted to it like smoking, so much so that in a final practice, where we got to charge each other one-on-one, I called the biggest player to charge me as fast and dangerously as he could, got mutilated, and laughed.

I have the ability to analyze to actions of ordinary people. People with autism and aspergers are much harder to analyze. Sometimes, when someone is speaking close enough, I can feel the vibrations of their voice through my fingers. I then can calculate their frequency of their voice to learn more about them.

People with frequencies which don't change a lot are calm.
People with frequencies that spike are having emotion like anger.
People with long sideway frequencies are sad or depressed.

Let me see, I am pretty good at such as in maths finding the concept in something and then thinking differently to others, I can not remember a large amount of things but I can learn concepts that others strugle with. I also have noticed that I am quite efficiant at mind games, this mostly shows in certain games where I seem to have instincts at attacking mentaly, though this does carry through to some play fights. I know all about keeping your emotions hidden and under control while getting them to foolishly to reveal and lose there focus, getting someone upset in ways makes them have mistakes and it is a good idea to keep calm and maybe pretend to show emotion. I incorperate into my daily life, give off crazy signals to confuse others, watch others then know the exact places to hit, which can is usualy just saying the right thing. People can be so easily manipulated by just saying the right words at the right time. It also alows me to have a very good observation of things, I dont actualy abuse this, I mostly use it in just for fun situations, my brother is easy to trick but with past instances of him kicking a hole in the wall mean I can not go too far. I have also been told that I am quite stealthy, be named the ghost that walks by few, I love comeing up behind someone and scareing them like haveing my head next theres and waiting to see how long before they notice. One thing I know is that is that it usualy requires a bit of face value as you need to analyse all of them to get a good idea, some can see the game of manipulation better then others.
