Well guys hehe I failed my first year of uni I knew I di but now he is the crux of the situation, I am visually impaired and in feburary-march my dyslexia and dysphraxia were thought about and most understanderbly of most people I freaked out I took it hard and in all honesty thought that I could achieve nothing, I was struggling ocialy and normally however not with classes I passed all my first semester with Cs but as soon as it was diagnosed I freaked an ran for the hills my own actions were to blame but as you have read there are circumstances.

Well I have thought about it I know for a start I should not leave uni as it is a learning curve an I got depressed and legged it lol.

My disability adviser is disabled himself and he forwarded my for an assessment and pulled a lot of strings to get me diagnosed

So I was thinking of basically retaking my first year and completely redo my degree I love film and its my interest and was thinking about doing media and psychology or media and film. I was doing archaeology before and just got annoyed as it was not catering with my visual impairment. For my third year I am doing my disitation in a different uni as I am moving home and want to be closer and I am currently on the housing list and by my third year I would of been probably moved.

So heres where my need of advice is do you think my choice is wise or not

Well, it depends on what you love and where you want to go with it. I struggled all last year and this semester to figure out what I wanted to do in uni, and I think I'm finally there now. I did a year in Arts, and covered heaps of different fields, but I don't regret it because I learned loads - and also did some exceptionally useful music courses I wanted to cover anyway.

It's important that you're not just at uni for the sake of attending uni, or doing the course expected of you cause it's your interest. Effectively you're paying for a service, and you need to figure out what you want to learn and gain (a.k.a. what you want to spend your money on). Have you thought about what you want to do when you leave uni? It's always good to have a plan in place, and then you can plot your courses taking both future direction as well as personal enjoyment into account.
