Hi, all, lil' about myself.
lived together 14 yeears. recently discovered communication probs, lack of empathy are down to aspergers. Cant believe its taken so long to realise. Years of being not believed, my ideas are dissed, told im silly have taken thier toll physically and mentally. I am concenren that this is mainly a forum for people with aspergers, so prob not the place to let off steam. just wanted to say hi. im 50, live southern uk.
May togetherness in adversity unite us.
vee.
obviously not new here if I have postsed 3 posts, must be a pathalogical liar too. Sorry |

Hello Vee!
My husband and I were married for about 14 years when it finally "hit" me that his issues had more to do than being raised by bad parents. He was diagnosed a couple of years ago.
This forum has helped me, hope it does the same for you! |

Thanks for all your messages of support, and to "the wife", I am "The Mum /Mom" a childless mum.
I Have been burying my head in the sand, keeping busy with my own interests hoping I would be noticed again one day. That was until my dog became ill and died. Most of me died with him. It was time to face up to the aspergers
I have so many questions, issues etc which I guess I will tackle one by one. Hopefully, in time, I will make sense of my world and be able to support others
Right now it seems so confusing. Nothings has changed, but everything has changed. I dont feel I can own being a NT, think I have mergeged towards AS.
So looking at who I can be from that I Think I will be a STAN.
I will be back
STAN X |

Welcome vee
Yes it is, to some extent where AS people can gather. Of course, people with AS partners are more than welcome and it is probably one of the best places to vent.
My wife (NT) and I (AS) have been married for almost 35 years and only just recently found out I was AS. Helped explain quite a lot of what has happened over the years.
We definitely have a different waay of thinking and dealing with life. So, we can be a bit difficult to understand. Feel free to ask questions. I'm sure you'll get a lot of answers. We (AS people) aren't all the same. There is quite a variety of reactions. So, be prepared for that. |
