I'm nowhere near Australia, but I thought I'd suggest using a map to help coordinate your group.
There's an official WP map, but I can't figure out how to make it work.

There's no need to drop a pin directly on your house. It's just to let others know that you're in a general area. No one cares if you live in a tree or a library or on the roof of the nearest mall.

Nice to see that we are well scattered. There seems to be at least one person from every state. So far, I think we are missing someone from NT and ACT.
