If you're using them as coasters, they're not going to waste. Keep doing that. =)
[edit]: I think a User Friendly strip had a joke about using AOL discs as coasters. So yeah, go with that. |

| I use them as coasters for wine bottles. Sometimes, bottles of red wine can leave rings on the wooden liquor cabinet my family has, so they put AOL CDs under them. |

There's been a stack of them on my coffee table for years.  My favorites are the Lord of the Rings-themed one, the leopard-spotted one, and one that has some Anime-looking character on it.
String them up with fishing line to make a mobile, hang it in the sun and watch the pretty colors flash and spin.  |
