There have been zero details such as, when it was put in place, when was it removed, how many threads there were, how many posts in a day/week/month/year...all of which are important. Define "died" in this case. Just saying it "died" doesn't provide a whole lot of information, to those of us who have never been there. Also consider what types of topics have been posted...If the section was brought back, would it be any different than it was before? I've been here almost a year, and never remember seeing a Men's section, so this must have been something that was done quite some time ago. | Odd. You appear not to have read this thread. |
I see nothing in this thread that answers anything mentioned above. But please do point it out if you see it somewhere that I don't. I see "it died", but that takes us right back to my last post. The only one remotely close was yours, the second reply of the thread, but it's still very vague. _________________ -Gil |

I am not a parent. Should I suggest that the Parent's Discussion Group get merged into Random Discussion group because there is no reason that the Parents should get one but not the non parents?
I agree with Maggiedoll, did you even read the thread? |
You know what would totally rock? If we could vote down posts that don't have anything to do with the discussion, like on Amazon reviews. Then you can choose whether or not you want to see those posts from jerks who respond to the title of a thread without bothering to read the thread. Especially when they're just being nasty. (Yea, I know that it won't actually happen, but it's okay to just say it would be cool, right?)
I seriously resent a putz like that getting all familiar with me like that. _________________ Envy, is admiration in denial. --DaWalker

Yes it would, wouldn't it? Yours would be a prime example. But what would be even better is if you could report abusive posts directly to a moderator, for reviewing whether or not a member should receive some sort of disciplinary action. _________________ -Gil |

gramirez, you must have realized that there was not only a moderator posting on this thread, but the Admin as well. Maggiedoll was aware the behavior was already being monitored and chose the option of addressing you herself.
| Quote: | The following activities are unacceptable on WrongPlanet:
*behavior intended to provoke or belittle other members; anything else that purposely causes conflict with other members. |
are all part of the rules you agreed to when you registered with the privately owned WrongPlanet.net. gramirez, your disciplinary action is to please respond in a positive manner by desisting when someone asks you to stop referring to them in a personal manner.
Maggiedoll, your disciplinary action is to not continue to respond in a personal manner when asking for that same behaviour to stop.
Thank you from your moderation team.

I'd say there's no Men's Discussion simply because so many fewer Aspies/Auties are female. Without a specific forum to go to, it would be much more difficult to find other women on the spectrum for advice and support. _________________ I'm never gonna dance again, Aspie feet have got no rhythm. |
