Lemme see...the last movie I bought, I think, was actually two. Lost Highway and Watchmen, I think. But my latest DVD purchase was actually a Doctor Who story, Robot. And the latest multimedia thing that I bought was Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii.

Blu-Rays:
The original Star Trek "trilogy" (Star Trek II, III, and IV). I've never actually seen these movies (other than bits of IV on TV years ago).
Ghost in the Shell (the original movie).

DVDs (and not really movies, but oh well):
Freaks and Geeks the complete series.
Wonderfalls the complete series.

Update: I forgot to mention, Best Buy's having a 30% off Blu-Rays sale, it was incredibly hard to not spend $200 on them yesterday.

Most recent batch, from amazon as usual:

"War Games", Badham film from the 80's, with Matthew Broderick, mainly for my son
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" , also with Broderick, because till now I've only had a grim french-dubbed second-hand VHS to watch ( I live in France ).
"A Good Year" soppy and majorly-flawed, self-indulgent but curiously appealing, ( aswell as irritating ! ) film by Ridley Scott featuring Russell Crowe, and the south of France! ( and a small dither about a big lifestyle change, which is where I'm at, but painfully, right now, so ... )
"American Gangster" by Ridley Scott and featuring Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington, with great face-to-face at the end, much better than Pacino and De Niro in "Heat", in my opinion anyway! ( Has anyone seen Mann's film "Collateral" with Cruise? That's a surprising and strange film; whereas I didn't find "Heat" very interesting at all ).
"3:10 From Yuma" by Mangold ( ? ), featuring Russell Crowe ( you can tell I have a bit of a mini-special-interest-in-a-filmstar going on here, [ I love "Gladiator" and "Master and Commander" ], for the first time in ... well, at least a year! Wink ) ... this one hasn't arrived yet ...

Plan to order "Synecdoche New York" by Charlie Kaufmann next, ( from amazon ) when the price has dropped!
.

Well, it arrived, I just watched it, and after a slow start, ( I thought that I wasn't going to like it ), it got great. I love it. Won't say more for fear of spoiling it, except that Russell Crowe and Christian Bale are brilliant. Smile

I recently discovered a mountain of Inuyasha DVDs at the 99 cent store, I kid you not, real ones that Target couldn't move. I know this because I found among them the 4th movie which still had Target stickers on it! I bought a copy of every volume I could find. I bet it's not half the series, but for a buck a disc I couldn't pass it up.

Before that, I bought Real Genius, Some Kind of Wonderful, and Edward Scissorhands. I've been feeling a bit nostalgic lately.

I love this series. Oddly enough this is the only DVD release of IV.
