Your topic question made me laugh so hard....I peed my chair! I love food and I like to get crazy with it like putting Kashi cookies in the microwave so the chocolate chips melt, etc...stuffing a cupcake with M&M's, etc... I lift weights every day except Sunday and have maintained 165 pounds at 5 feet 8 inches. I'm 48 years old. I used to be 245 pounds. The exercise expert "Jari Love" got me in shape. I'll never be "thin-thin" but I feel I look fairly well being that I was really big at one time. I love doing the weights because they've made me physically stronger as well as better built. Some people see 165 as fat but I don't have an inch to pinch. But one thing is certain...when a woman is over 40, what difference is it that she is fat, thin, pretty, unattractive...nobody cares....when you pass 40, you're out of the race. This can be good!

I beg to differ! Smile At 50, I still get told by many people that I am gorgeous. Whether I believe them or not, or care, does not matter. I am still in the race, like it or not. Confused

I have been overweight most of my life (combination of lack of physical activity and adoration of soda). A few years back I began riding an exercise bike, I placed it in front of my tv because I knew that was the best chance of me using it. I did end up losing about 60 pounds riding the bike and abandoning my precious soda. I advanced to jogging but within a few months had an injury which caused an inactivity and soda relapse and allowed the pounds to add back on. I am determined to begin again soon. Wink

Believe me, you're not alone. I am quite large (6'3" and over 300 lbs), and there's no secret why: I have an insatiable appetite. However, I do tend to do the whole aspie only-eat-one-thing-on-the-menu-every-time thing; I just eat too much of whatever that one item is.

I'm a bit overweight... BMI-wise I'm pretty sure I'm in the upper healthy range - bordering on heavy, if not in the heavy range.
I eat a lot and I really don't care for dieting though I have done so before. I got down to a size 6 once... not anymore. Laughing
I'm lucky though, I carry my weight well (I'm a natural hourglass) and, even though I weigh maybe 40 to 50 lbs more than my sister, we have almost the same size waist - I think I have 2 or 3 inches more - but considering the difference in weight, that's hardly anything.
When I exercise, which I've been trying to do more, my body responds well - afer maybe 2/3 days of 20/30 minutes of moderate exercise, I start to get good definition, which really boosts my self confidence.
I'll never be thin the way I eat now (which is pretty much whenever I want to) - but I'll always be very curvy. I've started to make peace with my body - I just love food too much to give it up! XD

I was a rail-thin child until I went on Risperdal, then I became a chubby child. I went off the risperdal in grade 8 and was a really good weight. I went back on the risperdal this year and I've gained 20-25 pounds. I'm 5'6" and I'm 150 right now. I don't exercise because I have low blood pressure and don't have time for it either, but I eat extremely healthily. The risperdal doubles my appetite though, so my fast metabolism isn't working as well as it did before.

I've never actually thought of myself as fat but I've always been overweight. I love food.

In spite of exercising (chin-ups, dips, and extremely intense cardio), at 5'8" / 190lbs. I'm a fat bashtid.

I don't care.

I love the endorphin rush of exercise, but I love pizza, beer, barbecue, tacos, bloody steak, bacon and all vegetables as long as they are deep fried and smothered in ranch dressing.

No. In fact I think thin Aspies are the exception to the rule, thanks to medication.

I'm about 5'10" and 245, which is good because not 5 months ago I was at 275. I just found that my personal method was just to stop ingesting so much soda. Now I drink maybe a few small bottles a week, but I rarely if ever drink that much, primarily because if I get a 2 liter in front of me, expect it to be downed in 1 day. Combine that with all the junk food I was eating, and now I'm slimming down. I can eat a lot, just not a lot of crap. I didn't really skyrocket in weight till I went on meds though, so it's partly because of that, partly because of junk food.

Being Overweight is something that just sort of snacks up on you.
Surprised
I am in the just-obese range because I eat moderate stuff, but don't do anything with it~

hmm... i have no clue bout my own spot on the sliding scale of underweight _ overweight....

I can say though that BMI is not accurate, so i dont even bother acknowledging it as a guideline. I am a male, 6'3" and 206 lbs. This subsequently places my BMI round 25.7, and its declared marginally overweight by one reference, overweight by another. However, most doctors i went to about it agree with me about how im a bit below the average weight (for my physical height, the average is supposed to be around 225.)

as for the stomach, i just get constant bloating which stretches the skin and makes me look like im a pregnant guy sometimes. So i may look like I have a gut, but if im having a good gas free day, im just the typical Tall lanky Guy that gets called a stringbean by some people.
