I think of it this way...they neglected to put the actual bad Zelda game on the list...so even being last place doesn't mean it's a bad game Cool

That counts as a Zelda game right?

Yeah, I didn't bother listing the ones that Nintendo Power didn't bother listing...there's quite a few other ones. I know there's at least one more CDi game, and three or so Tingle games...Smash Brothers? Four Swords for GBA? Probably even more that I'm forgetting right now...I remember there was supposed to be some game with Tetra in it, but I think that one was cancelled?

The Tingle games were only released in Europe and Japan. The CDi games have nothing to do with Nintendo, and Smash Bros. isn't a Zelda game at all of course.

Four Swords for the Game Boy Advance is Zelda:ALTTP from the SNES with an extra multiplayer mode so that didn't count either.

I hate to sound ignorant but... anyone who thinks Twilight princess is better than majoras mask must surely be brain damaged.

MM is pue legend, TP was kinda a disappointment, aswell as the only mentionned game I don't own.

Agreed, Majora's Mask was miles better and unlike Twilight Princess which had almost zero originality, Majora's Mask was a very unique and refreshing game to the series. I don't understand why critics have to greatly overrate games like Twilight Princess and give Majora's Mask no recognition when it is clearly the much better game.

Here's how I would rank the games, I have to leave four games off because I never played them, I'm not a fan of handheld games and Link's Awakening is the only handheld Zelda I've played.

9. Four Sword Adventures
8. Twilight Princess
7. The Windwaker
6. The Legend of Zelda
5. Zelda II The Adventure of Link
4. Link's Awakening
3. Majora's Mask
2. Ocarina of Time
1. A Link to the Past

I also felt like I was constantly in danger in TP and the dark feel just made me feel in a rush all of the time and didn't feel as magical.

MM I think tried to improve where OoT was criticised, such as people complained Navie giving a "Hey ... Listen", and forcing what to do next. MM gave Tatl who would give advice like "you didn't know that already", or just criticise asking advice on enemies from OoT. And you were givena big choice of what to do next with numerous sidequests. Oh and wolf hounds are much less fun then the Ocarina (or the variety of instrumetns in MM) which I think is a great item, though TP did have dual weildable hookshot.

Here's my list based on the Zelda games I've finished.

1. The Wind Waker: I absolutely love this game. I think the cel-shaded graphics gave this game a unique look to it, and was a breath of fresh air from the "realistic" style. I know this game was criticized for it's sea travel (everyone said that it was boring and tedious), but it's one of my favorite aspects of this title. It made me feel as if I was really traveling across a whole new world instead of being confined to a small country. Plus it's the first (and possibly only) Zelda game to have free moving camera control.

2. Majora's Mask: I felt that this game was not only an improvement over OoT, but also a unique experience that stands out from the rest of the series. I love the NPC interactivity, the mask transformations, and Majora itself. In fact, I prefer Majora over Ganon/dorf. In my eyes, a villain who wants to destroy will always be more evil than a villain who wants to conquer.

3. Twilight Princess: I know gamers hated this game because it had almost no originality, but I think Nintendo wanted to keep the game play of this title similar to OoT because the elitists and fanboys complained about the other two 3D games being too different from OoT. However, I personally prefer this over OoT. I liked the combat system and sword techniques, the graphics (although WW will always be my favorite in this department), and the dungeons more than OoT. And the one thing that I absolutely loved about this game was Midna. She's cute, charming, funny, less annoying than Navi, and is my favorite character in the Zelda universe. This game met my expectations, and that's good enough for me.

4. The Minish Cap: To be honest, I'm not a fan of the 2D Zelda games. Yes, I have played Zelda I, II, Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracles of Ages, but I didn't enjoy them nearly as much as the 3D titles. However, I found this game to be not only the best of the 2D Zelda titles, but also better than OoT. I liked every aspect of this title. The graphics were good, the story was unique, the gameplay was excellent, the shrinking mechanic gave this game a whole new look, and the boss fights were great (especially Vaati). I think this game deserves every bit of credibility it gets.

5. Ocarina of Time: I'm probably going to get flamed for putting this one so low on my list, but I've just simply grown out of it. Yes, I do realize how revolutionary the game was to the 3D action-adventure genre and the gaming culture itself, but to me it matters which does it best, not which does it first, and I feel that every Zelda title that I've listed so far, and even other action-adventure games, were superior to this game one way or the other. Heck, I can't even recommend this game to new gamers anymore. But keep in mind that I do enjoy this game, just not as much I used to and not nearly as much as everyone else does.

6. Four Swords Adventure: Although I found this game to be fun, I also thought it was repetitive and I hated having to collect the little triangles over and over and over again.

Well that was my list. Now please keep in mind that I keep true to my own tastes and opinions, and that I'm entitled to them, just as much as everyone else is entitled to theirs. Sorry if I'm coming off as a over opinionated jerk, I'm just used to being bashed by Zelda fans in real life because I don't like Ocarina as much as they do.

I never understood why everyone likes OoT so much. As an older school gamer, you may want to take my comments less seriously, but I've always enjoyed the 2D Zelda games (particularly A Link to the Past, but even NES Zelda, Link's Awakening, and Zelda II were more fun to me than OoT).

In other words, 2D Zelda games were more fun for me than 3D Zelda games.

And even after saying that, I Own OoT, Majora's Mask, and Wind Waker, and I think OoT is the worst of those three games.

Whenever I see someone calling OoT the best game ever made for any system, I cringe a bit.

Well, it is. I've played a lot of games, new and old. That's the best one. Deal with it.

I thought that Super Mario Galaxy came pretty close, though.

I think WW had the best soundtrack. Followed by OOT and then MM. All the games had good music but I think WW was the best. Infact, I think I may download it now.

Twilight Princess is WAY too low. I think it is definitely better than Ocarina of Time, a deeper storyline, deeper game, and more addictive.

Same here. I feel it's overrated.
