Gibson SG Special Faded
Acoustic 12-string guitar
Fender DG 10/12
Acoustic 6-string guitar

Fender Starcaster (despite its entry-level status, it's one of the best I've played!)
Electric 4-string bass

Family photo soon, once I can afford to slap a set of flatwounds on my stringless Höfner.

that almost looks like 'the Stick'...a strange sort of guitar-bass that you play by tapping. Never could afford one.

Used to have a 6 and 12-string acoustic (Yamaha and Ibanex), an electric (Pro Aria II), a Bass (Ibanez again), and 2 mandolins (noname). Had to sell them all, along with the rest of my gear...

Here's my excellent sounding guitar, the Blueridge BR-60:

Plus I've got a classical guitar I used when I first started playing.
But I bought the Blueridge only a few weeks later Cool Very Happy

Electric. Still have the same Yamaha RGX I bought used in 1991, and the same Peavey practice amp I bought used the same day.

My Acoustic guitar is just a cheap Westfield guitar, but it sounds good. I just got it re-strung and it sounds so much better.

My Electric is an American Strat. I love it to bits. I've got really small fingers, so the fret board is perfect for me. The neck is so smooth.

Wow, some of you guys have some really classy gear.

Me? I don't bother. My skills, if you could attach a dollar amount to them, are worth about $3.89. My $3.89 skills don't deserve a $1,999.99 guitar.

Currently w/o a guitar, though here's the ones that I've had in chronological order, followed by the years that I owned them, with commentary:

'60's-70's Kent LP Copy ('85)
'84 Squier Stratocaster ('85) *one of the good ones made by Ibanez in Japan*
'83-'84 Yamaha SBG 500 ('85) *Gibson LP Killer*
'72-'74 Acoustic Black Widow ('85-86) *Mosrite design, only 200 or so made*
'82 Guild X-79 ('86) *grew tired of the 'pointy' design*
'70's Hagstrom Swede ('86) *Swedish LP, retrofitted Bill Lawrence pickup was horrible*
'70's Goya Acoustic ('86) *MIJ, imprted by Martin Guitars before their budget 'Sigma' line*
'83-'84 Washburn A-10 ('86) * ugly Ferrari red POS, only redeeming feature was the v profile neck*
'84 Fender Esprit ('86-'91) *Bought NOS, MIJ Fender by Ibanez, similar to an Ibanez artist 'LP Killer'*
'70's Ibanez Telecaster ('87) *Made in mid to late '70's 'Lawsuit' copy*
'58 Gibson LP Jr. ('87-'88 ) *bought cheap because of headstock repaired w/ late 70's LP Custom Headstock, 2 piece bridge, and Dimarzio PAF in place of the P-90*
'80's Washburn pseudo LP copy ('90-'91)* was originally a Sales Rep's demo guitar, with extra fancy flametop, weighed about 15Lbs, w/strat style trem and 25.5" scale length*
'90 Gibson LP Jr, '59RI('91) *TV yellow, a bit heavy, but was still nice, P100 swapped out for P90
'82 Gibson LP Custom ('92) *Silverburst in nice condition save for routed/retrofit Kahler and Locking nut, heavy*
80's Ibanez Roadstar ('93) *paid $50 for it in a Charlotte NC Pawnshop, seafoam green resprayed body with horrible glittered pickguard, got it to mod, and never finished working on it*
90's Washburn 'shredder' ('97) *Pimp Cadillac purple POS that smashed Pete Townsend style, it's two fatal flaws were the ebony Fretboard and the fact that it was a Washburn*
'02 Gibson LP Special ('02-'03) *Black 'Worn Edition' nice and light, but made from VERY soft Mahogany*
'70-'71 Gibson SG Special ('03) *recycled 60's SG Jr./ Melody Maker body plugged and re-routed for an SG, Neck was broken in 2 places, and as a result had horrible action, this one also got the Pete Townsend treatment
'2K's Godin ('05-'08 ) *Gibson inspired guitar w/Bolt on neck, not bad for a POS guitar.

a walden acoustic. the intonation is so messed up now that it just sounds out of tune almost all the time. I think it is pretty cheap but i still love it for all the hours of fun i have had out of it.

i have a cheapo electric bass given to me by a friend. I got not bad at bass for a while but i have not played it much recently.

i want to get another acoustic and some sort of nylon strung guitar and a nice electric. and a drum kit and a new bass. hehehe i want it all.

Guitar playing is such a pure pleasure for me. it feels so good to be able to create something i can appreciate.

i play both electric and acoustic guitar. i prefer electric guitar mostly but there are times when i get into acoustic for a while, then go back to playing electric. i have a squier showmaster, looks like this:

...except mine is a metallic midnight blue colour (though seeing this one now i think i prefer the black one lol). my bro got it for my 18 birthday.

i had a few other electric guitars over the years:
a red encore, my first ever guitar that i ended up flogging at a bootsale for pittance... a tanglewood with this dark green wood grain effect body that i didn't keep for very long, and which seemed to circulate round family and friends for a while until someone wanted it... and this random grey axe i accumulated, all i remember was that it was grey, and had 'axe' written on the body lol i didn't have that for very long and it changed hands a few times before someone done it up and gave it a good paint job.
so now i jus have the one electric guitar, which suits me fine, it plays nice. i didn't really know what i was lookin for in a guitar when i got that, but my guitar teacher at the time said it was a good intermediate level guitar which made me feel happy lol, and everyone who has played it has commented on the reverse headstock as it always seems to trip 'em up when tuning, me too sometimes lol

and the acoustic guitars i currently have are as follows:
a Tanglewood TW28STR and a Yamaha FG-411S, both steel strung. and an Aston CG12BK, 1/2 size black nylon strung guitar which proved to be popular among visiting friends and small get-togethers, i even bought my friend a red one for her birthday mainly so i wouldn't have to take a guitar to her house any more lol

I have a really beautiful classical flamenco guitar, blond face, honey coloured sides, warm sweet tone... I can't get over how I got hold of it for that price. (£235). It's worth a lot more but the manufacturer went bust due to the recession, and for once I lucked out.

I also have a nice steel strung, very similar to the blue posted above. But my favourite is the flamenco. She's got a name. Smile And when I've been practising long enough, if I'm very lucky, she sings.
