I saw one of these ads in a magazine geared for men while I was working. I had to look twice to figure out what that thing was.
Thought I'd share the wtf moment.

Those sure are demeaning toward women, but I think the intended "message" has to do with Axe allegedly being able to overwhelm them into the arms of even people who use Axe in place of regular showers and good hygiene.
I used to work for one of the packaging companies producing Axe, and some of the guys there really seemed to believe it could do just that. _________________ I began looking for someone like me when I was five ...

I just thought it was stupid. As far as being demeaning to women, yes but no more so than usual. They're always showing women as vapid arm candy (or arm pit candy in this case).
That's... well... I am curious about what demographic they are trying to reach. _________________ "If you look deeply emough into any person's soul, you can see the emu within them struggling to get out. Actually, most people don't have emus in their soul. Just me." - Invisible Dave, Lady of Emus

Just about everything is demeaning to women. We haven't broken free of the ingrained misogynistic mentality of our society, yet.
As funny as the Old Spice guy is, he's demeaning to women, as well. He, too, makes women out to be vapid morons that only care about the physical appearance and smell of their men. His target audience just happens to BE women. _________________ Do you bury me when I'm gone?
