I hope that was irony, and not malice. Otherwise.......
Australia and the world has lost one of the best conservationists, who has done so much to raise awareness of animals in the wild. I thought he was just a showpony, but he was just being himself. He was almost like a naive kid, but one with passion. _________________ At moments when monsters spawn in by rising up from the ground, it turns the action into a gory, protracted session of Whack-A-Mole.

There is a bit of Steve Irwin in all of us.
I was one of those people who are extremely obsessed with venomous snakes. I even showed some bravado when I picked up a deadly copperhead by the tail. I do this because I have such a lot of pride in Australia's fauna. I cannot see the sense in why farmers have to kill Australia's unique snakes. It is usually old and old habit set by old Irish settlers in the old days settling in Australia who IMHO are a little jealous Australia has an asset their country is lacking.
BTW I will miss Steve Irwin.

I dunno how you can call poisonous snakes an asset per se, unless you mean to eat mice and rats. They are, however, unique to Australia, I'll say that, and I won't go out of my way to kill one. Instead, I'd run like hell. _________________ At moments when monsters spawn in by rising up from the ground, it turns the action into a gory, protracted session of Whack-A-Mole.

He was "real", not a fake.
He was the same off camera as he was on. What you saw is how he really was. _________________ I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in.

I've heard that from folks I know who had the luck to meet him. He was also a big supporter of Australian & US troops & visited a number of bases here. I think he may have also done the USO type deal in Iraq. _________________ "If it ain't the Devil's music, you ain't doin' it right!" -Chris Thomas King |

| I watch one show with him that I think was on the travel channel but can't remember what it was. He and his family travelled from North Dakota down to Texas and went canoeing on the Rio Grande. |

Yes, of course!
He was killed by a stingray barb which injured him in the chest and pierced his heart. _________________ Jason Larsen

That's not funny, it's serious!
It is truly a sad loss for us Americans, as well as the rest of the world because "The Crocodile Hunter" aired on Animal Planet here in America. The Australia Zoo has now lost its owner and operator.
So, I guess you could say three things. His death was stunning, we lost him way too early and he died doing something he loved.
Rest in peace, Steve! _________________ Jason Larsen
