^That makes since but I still wonder why I see most locations out of all the european countries located in the northern parts of Europe. As for the other countries, that's understandable with what you said.

I am part native american as well.
I suppose southern euro countries are also social in nature (greek, italian) whereas northern are less social? I remember reading somewhere that a northern european would think the southerners are loud, value close proximity, and good community and famialial ties, while southern europeans would see the northerners as more rigid and quiet/calm, attentive to strict details (like punctuality), and with beliefs in hard work etc. Countries like the Bahamas, Cuba, southern european etc that place high values o social connections may see a diagnosis as something that may push them away from their communities. i have some American friends who could go for years without talking to family members and would curse their parents out, and some friends from collectivist cultures (italian, puerto rican,korean) who would never dream of that, thus they have stronger ties to their community and would not get a "label" that might make them different. I guess I'm rambling now, I could go on and on on sociological issues lol... |

| Im latino. Mexican to be specific. There are actually two other people with asperger's in my family but outside of them, I don't know of other Hispanics aspies. It seems strange but it may be carried in genetically by old Spanish roots. It's just a mystery. |
