I watched a hideous, yet fascinating, 2hr A&E documentary about this tonight. I wasn't even aware of this case until this evening. This psychopath is leaving few clues as to his identity. He cruelly taunted the sister of one his victims by calling her seven times over a period of months. He called from the victim's own cell phone and would explain, in graphic detail, what he did to this poor young woman.
A sexual sadist serial killer is, however, the logical extreme of what is occurring in our contemporary society. This documentary exposes the dark underbelly of white, middle-class/upper-middle class suburbia in the 21st century. The online sex trade is obviously servicing millions of businessmen, doctors, lawyers, etc....Many of these "pillars of the community" are married with children and they're up to things that would make their wives and children vomit. It's not as if we didn't know all this already though eh??? Still...there's an underlying sickness and emptiness (the Nihilism Nietzsche spoke of IMO) that's driving it all. I mean, Satan knows, i'm no saint...but compared to an innumerable amount of males... I'm Mr. Rodgers.
This is yet another reason I believe prostitution should be legalized and heavily regulated. The wild west atmosphere of black market prostitution is placing all involved at tremendous risk and sites like Craigslist allow for total anonymity. Both the men who call the escorts and the escorts themselves know this. Many escorts are being terribly exploited and abused while many "johns" are being robbed, beaten, etc.....
Much like the illicit drug trade....the blame for this societal ill can be laid at the feet of our stupid and ineffectual "war on" policies. Policies that NEVER have stopped ONE person who REALLY wants drugs, prostitutes (or really wants to be a drug dealer or prostitute) from acquiring them.

Anyway...I hope they catch this sick f**k before he kills again and when they do...I'd be happy to take an Oxyacetylene torch to his testicles.  [
