Yes, I love this series! Persona was the series that caused me to learn Japanese kana on my own over the summer in highschool so very long ago. I've played most of the games on PS1 and PS2. I'm currently working on the remake of Innocent Sin, which I originally played through in Japanese, on the PSP. The translation is rather brilliant and takes a turn from the fan translation for the PS1 game that was released a couple of years ago. I have not played the PSP port of Persona1 though as Mr. Meguro created what I consider a horrible soundtrack for it.
Which one is your favorite out of the series? The First batch of games or the most recent ones? Have you heard that Persona 4 is going to be re released for PSVita as Persona 4 The Golden? Do you plan on getting it? What do you think of all the Jungian influence in the series and the extensive amount of characterization and story depth that is inherent in the series? _________________ "Power is the reason that we all are fighting for, control your body, your soul and heart. The Shin Megami Tensei series is one of my all-time favorites! I own Persona 3 and Devil Survivor Overclocked, and a friend game me his copy of Devil Summoner 2, but I haven't played it yet. I really dig the style of these games; never before have I been so happy to see a menu screen! I haven't beat any of them yet as they are extremely long but I expect to eventually. _________________ I am a geek who likes stuff of eclectic types. |

I always go well over 99:99:99 hours in these games. _________________ "Power is the reason that we all are fighting for, control your body, your soul and heart. Yes- some of us who surrender are like lambs to the slaughter; get the power & try harder to reach the next stage."

first off i love all the games. lol. as for my favorite one it really depends. i loved the storyline on p3 far more then then the other three i have played. though i liked the gameplay for the other two far more in the others. not controling your characters gets super old really fast after all XD. and also i love all games made by atlus. eternal poison shin megami tensei series, and disgea which is just hillarious.
here is a good question what kind of tarot card do you think you would be if you were in either p3 or p4? for me i think personally i would be the hangedman tarot since i can identify with its meaning more easily then other cards. |

I'd like to envision myself more like a Persona 1-2 type user than a P3-P4 type user. My main tarot would most likely be Heirophant or Fortune with a deal of others being compatible. I doubt I'd work well with Devil or Death. _________________ "Power is the reason that we all are fighting for, control your body, your soul and heart. | hmm if we're going to include p2s system then i think i would be compatible with hanged man the world and the devil best. and incompatible with the chariot, the strenght, and the star. |

| I own all of the Persona games except P2: Eternal Punishment. The only Persona game I don't like is the first one. Persona 3 Portable is my favorite Persona game, though that may change when Persona 4: The Golden is released on Vita. As for your second question, I'd use The Fool if it means I can switch tarrots at will. |

| lol i meant it as what do you think is a honest reflection of your own personality. not which one you would like the best. after all you don't have to like certain aspects of yourself. |

AHEM. You just happen to be talking to the resident fanatical expert when it comes to the Persona series.
Let's see... right now I own Persona 3 Portable for PSP and Persona 4 for PS2... Had Persona 3 FES but I gave it to my girlfriend because I got P3P instead.
Ironically, it's the Persona series that you can thank for my current obsession with cartomancy. After realising how much the idealism behind the tarot played into the games, I started researching them myself. My girlfriend has a Rider-Waite deck that she's used to read for me a few times. I think she's getting one for me for Christmas as well.
As for my Arcana... well, The Fool is always described in the game as "being like the number zero - empty yet with infinite potential". I see a lot of similarities between that and myself. The protagonists of P3 and P4 are always able to use multiple Personae to adapt to the situation they're in... I think of it as kind of like changing your personality depending on the situation and the people you're with. I excel at this, mainly because IMHO I don't have a personality... it's more like I continually emulate others in my mannerisms and actions, rather than anything unique to myself. So I can see The Fool Arcana as a good match for me, at least as it's defined in the game. _________________ "Yeah, so this one time, I tried playing poker with tarot cards... got a full house, and about four people died." ~ Unknown comedian

I love Shin Megami Tensei. Never got to play the games but yeah I think I better buy the new games. Oh and anybody here watches Persona 4: The Animation? It's basically an anime adaption of Persona 4. Oh and the official name for the P4 protagonist is now Yu Narukami. _________________ Hello, friends. |

Yeah, I've seen that. There's a new episode on today on The Anime Network's streaming site. I think this is where they go into the Void Quest dungeon to rescue and apprehend the "killer" (anyone who's seen the story will know what the quotes mean.)
But yeah, they simulcast it here in America every Thursday at 3 PM, which is the same time it's shown in Japan. _________________ "Yeah, so this one time, I tried playing poker with tarot cards... got a full house, and about four people died." ~ Unknown comedian
