I ran across the wrongplanet.net - Quantcast Audience Profile while searching for something else. Lots of interesting stats -- I especially like how the "Addicts" account for 1% of the site population, but 29% of site views.
PS - I couldn't find any other posts pointing to it, so apologies if this is a duplicate posting -- the search is complicated by the Quantcast script includes in the pages. _________________ "There is nothing--absolutely nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." - (Kenneth Grahame)

I'm guessing that they correlate your IP-address and information when you click through and purchase things from ads on the site. So the demographic data probably comes from ISPs and credit card companies. I imagine they have some interesting probability models behind the scenes since they're not using a single data set. I'm basing this on what I read in their FAQ. _________________ "There is nothing--absolutely nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." - (Kenneth Grahame)
