We need a thread like this, because I keep misreading titles myself.
Please share misread titles with me, I love reading them. |

| No matter how much I hate the store, I automatically associated "Topic" with a capital "T" with "Hot Topic", so I misread this thread's title. |

There is a thread that came up today that was titled "Unexpected Mother" or something. When I first glanced I thought it said "Unexpected Motherhood" like a girl didn't know she was pregnant then randomly gives birth ah silly me _________________ Opportunities multiply as they are seized. -Sun Tzu

One time I read a title as Holocaust Dinners. It turned out that the title was Holocaust Deniers. I had to edit my post, because I said a paragraph about how there should be Holocaust Dinners for survivors. _________________ The darling, unworldly Mick Avory with hands like shovels, who wouldn't dare choose to hurt a soul: I'm the cuddly, adorable Kink. That's hilarious.
I do this same thing alot, except for I will sometimes even mishear people, and then go on and on about the topic.. and they're like "what the hell are you talking about?" and I'm like "wait, what were YOU talking about?" _________________ I think I've seriously under-explained my over-explaining.

Well, I'm not going to name & shame, but I can think of a few thread subjects that left me seriously wondering WTF the creator could have possibly been thinking of when he or she came up with it.
You know... the threads with subjects like, "A warm sunny day in Chicago" that end up being about somebody painting their bedroom a new color. _________________ Your Aspie score: 170 of 200 · Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 34 of 200 · You are very likely an Aspie [ AQ=41, EQ=11, SQ=45, SQ-R=77; FQ=38 ]

| there is a name for this misconstruing of topics, it is called "roseanne rosannadanna" syndrome. it is also known as "never mind" dysfunction. but if you go back into the WABAC machine a bit further than 70s SNL, you can find examples of it on "rocky and bullwinkle" also, and even further back, on "i love lucy" as well. |
