Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone in the LGBT community would like a penpal? I have lesbian/gay friends and aquaintances in my real life but I thought it would be great to write to someone. I don't get out much - socially awkward. All my LGBT friends are much older than myself.
A little about me. I am a lesbian age 30. People say I am "girly", I love music. Some of my faves are AC/DC, Bjork, Anouk, Priscilla Ahn, Kerli, Bon Jovi, Evanescence, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Hana Pestle, Natalia Kills, Godsmack, and a lot more. I love computer art. I am introverted most of the time but I can also be extroverted and very very hyper lol. People say I look much younger and act it too. I like to talk a lot. Love to read. I would love to learn to play the piano some day and also learn to speak another language...maybe Italian or perhaps Spanish.
I do not wish for any type of personality in a pen pal. All I ask is that you be above 18. I am not looking for anything sexual, but I don't want to make anyones parents angry either. Besides, 17 will earn me 20 lol.
We could write letters or email, whichever you are comfortable doing. Although I think writing an actual letter would be fun, but not a big deal if you prefer emails.
So.......any takers???

My sexuality is also complicated; I'm bisexual though, also transgender (not transitioned yet and I'm unsure if I will). Also not looking for anything sexual. I'm 23 and my biological gender is male.
I listen to (and play) a WIDE variety of music (and instruments - piano being one of them, as you can see from my avatar) I love playing for people, so if you ever want to listen you're welcome. I regularly go on things like Omegle and chatroulette, and just play for whoever wants to listen.
I also am very into reading, as well as reading out loud for people and actually acting out the parts, even accents - a habit picked up doing reader's theatre in drama debate & forensics, and reinforced when I had a partner who I read to and who read to me often. Also reinforced when I got into audiobooks.
I speak 2 languages fluently, and 2 with a lower degree of proficiency: English natively, German fluently, Spanish quite rustily, and Russian I am working on now (started early last month). I can see myself going on with Russian for a long time, and I speak German all day at work (it's literally my job to speak German).
Literally all of my LGBT friends have pretty much vanished. Even the one who was straight but super LGBT friendly moved away; so I'm searching for more LGBT friends. (all of my friends are LGBT friendly; I just meant that they're not people I can go to and talk about LGBT stuff with)
I'd love to have you as a penpal, but I would prefer using some sort of instant messaging program, as that is my favorite method of contact. I have Skype, AIM, MSN, you name it. I also can do the e-mail thing, but I would really prefer IMs. Actual mail wouldn't be such a good idea, as I live in Alaska, but I'm not closed to that, either.
I really could use some new LGBT friends though; also wouldn't mind new friends in general; please PM me if you're interested and I'll share whatever contact info you'd like. |

Male, gay, 22. People say I am "crazy." I like math and music (the subjects of my undergrad degree). I also do other things like physics and cs and sociology etc....
My favorite pop band, far and away, is Florence + the Machine. I also like Marina and the Diamonds, and Clare Maguire. I know an Evanescence song that I like.
Because of entrepreneurialism in Silicon Valley, my default tendency towards introversion is strongly suppressed in practice.
I grew up speaking Spanish as a second language and play a little bit of piano, but moreso I compose music. I am trying to pick up some German and Japanese.
