I really have sensory issues with shaving, and not just that, anxiety around it as well. I always scared I am going to cut myself and I don't like the feel of the razor unless I LOTS of shaving cream. I pretty much only shave my underarms when I am going swimming. I never shave anywhere else. Luckily, I don't have a lot of body hair and live in cooler climate where most people where pants for most of the year (Between mid-September and late-June) so no one really notices.
Does anyone else have this problem? |

| I'm a guy and I hate shaving my face. I usually shave once every two to three weeks until it finally starts to look totally crazy. |

Yup. Not because of sensory issues though. It's just a pain in the arse, so I almost always have two to seven days of growth. _________________ MrXxx is taking a long sabbatical, and no longer moderating. |

I have no problems with shaving with a razer.
But the 2 other options is thermal technology hair remover or Laser hair remover.
Not used any of them so could not comment on them. Or you can go nutz with wax |

Me me me me!
It's not painful, but I hate that weird feeling on face. I tend to be a good IT guy and grow a stubble.
About a year ago I got rid of my pedophile beard, so I look more like human now. |

I don't shave because I'm lazy and it takes too long (as a bald man I have to shave my head as well as my face) not to mention if I cut my head whilst shaving it STINGS like a mofo I still keep my goatee around though, to make up for the bald head. |

| I hate shaving because I think it's a waste of time. If my family didn't keep nagging me about it, I wouldn't do it. Unfortunately I can't get away with it because I'm a very hairy person. So I have to bite the bullet and shave so I don't look like Sasquatch. |

I only shave my under arms before a doctor visit, and don't do my legs. I always wear slacks year round, or a night shirt at home in the summer, so who cares what my legs look like? I have fat arms, so I always wear short sleeves or longer, and never those really short, short sleeves, so who cares if I have hairy arm pits? I don't want to spend the time shaving when I have so many other things to do that are more important to me. Also, it hurts, and yes, I do use lather in the process. I have a can of Noxema gel lather that lathers up great almost instantly, and helps with the pain a little because it has menthol in it. I happen to like the smell of menthol, except in cigarettes. My mom tried menthol cigarettes once and I told her to never get that kind again, as they made me want to throw up. I pointed out that since I was the driver, it was not a good idea for me to throw up. I also had a policy of no smoking at all in the car, but she occasionally forgot, or would sit with the door open smoking while waiting for me in the car.
As for shaving--do what you want that way, but if it might effect things like work, you should wear clothes that cover the arm pits or legs. If you don't want to shave your face, a neat beard looks good, but stubble looks awful. If you want to make the change over without showing the stubble for too long at work, let it grow out over a long vacation. |

The only thing I hate (apart from the longer shower - I will not shave without running water) is the type of clothing I can wear after. I have these jeans where hair regrowth really itches, so they're more a day two since shaving type of piece of clothing to wear.
I cut myself sometimes. It's unavoidable.

I don't shave. Once in a while I might shave under my arms but that's it.
My legs are pretty hairy but no one ever sees them anyways and I don't care. |

| I'm a guy, and I HATE shaving. I grow my beard until there's several weeks' worth, at which time it starts to itch BADLY, so I finally give in and shave. I also shave my underarms, which I do because I realize that hair traps odor, and I don't shower often because of sensory issues, so I tend to stink. I never used to shave my underarms, until the hair got an odor in it that REFUSED to wash out, then I had to. Girls have it worse, they're expected to shave legs, armpits (in USA), and their crotches, especially if they have a sex partner (hopefully none of you 17 year old girls are having sex regularly quite yet). A man just has to shave his beard and for partially bald men their heads. Some shave armpits, and women are starting to demand that men shave their crotches. Some men do what is called "manscaping", which is shaving just the hairs circling the penis, and leaving the rest of the pubes alone. |

I used to forget or not care and shaved about every 2 or 3 days. Now I usually shave while reading or watching Tv, I have an electric razor. I have a kindle so I don't have to hold the book, that's why it is possible to read at the same time. _________________ www.wrongplanet.net |

Wait, you're telling me that girls/women in other countries aren't forced to shave their pits? That's it, I'm getting a passport and packing my luggage! lol |
