| I have to rant about this. I hate microfiber stuff SO MUCH. The fibers get caught on the ridges in my skin and it feels so awful. I'm not normally oversensitive about many things, but I absolutely cannot deal with this sort of towel or clothing. Please tell me I'm not alone. |

| You're not the only one. I hate it too. When dry, it's like sandpaper to my skin. If it's damp/wet it's not so bad, but then it's kind of useless. |

Yeah, it feels bad when it's dry, especially if you have dry flaky skin as well. I hate most fine fabrics when I have dry skin; satin, silk, lace etc.
I prefer it wet. I use microfibre face cloths in the shower. |

| Urgh, yes, I have a microfibre towel somewhere but I can't stand to touch it. It's like rubbing velcro on your skin. |

I haven't really noticed because I think the only microfiber in my house is a few dishcloths (I don't do dishes) and a few dust mitts/rags.
I'll have to make sure I do more checking if I ever think of getting any more microfiber stuff that comes in more contact with my skin. |

I have a couch that is covered in microfiber with a sort of velvety texture... the surface is smooth so I dont have as much of that problem, but since it is synthetic it's hott to sleep on in the summer.
Soft cloth I enjoy, even if it does pull at my skin... in fact I love soft cuddly cloth. I think I've had some super soft microfiber blankets before that I LOVED... like they made fleece and silk seem rough and rigid lol.
My guess is, other than the skin-breathing issue... that I actually loooooooove microfiber!
(I should also mention, I am not as hypersensitive when it comes to the feel of things, and am more so with sound and light so maybe that is part of why?) _________________ er um... w.. eh... y.. you cant hear me um like.................. stammer on the internet ha ha ha |

I don't know how I didn't think of this. I have a microfiber sofa. The material doesn't bother me on that. I have throws where I sit on it though so I don't get it dirty. I sit on it all day using the computer. |

| Microfiber isn't much of a bother, but those swiffer dusting cloths?!?!?! Different story!!! I have to put on latex gloves to dust with them. *chills up my spine* |

Somewhat, yes. I certainly can't wear anything made of it; it's nearly as bad as polyester. _________________ Engineering & Psychology student. Gamer. Christian. Asexual. Information Addict. Deal with it!

It makes me feel like I have really rough skin on my fingers. So, I'm compelled to check my skin and it's fine. But, they are good for polishing glass. _________________ "We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiatic about." | Feels nice and soft and velvety to me. Maybe there are different types which I haven't discovered yet. |
