|
|
Hello everyone,
I have read the same internet comics for the past year and am beginning to get a little jaded by them. Perhaps there are other people who would appreciate something new as well. Let's share.
Here is what I propose: Post the names of your favourite online comics, their URL, and a brief description of each.
Here are mine:
1. Patches http://www.hingos.com/patches/
This strip has to be seen to be appreciated. I only know one other person who understands the humour. It's almost like someone made my mind's sillier moments into a comic.
2. General Protection Fault http://www.gpf-comics.com/
Geeks, computers, conspiricies, interdimentional travel, sentient slime moulds! Very well written with excellent plot lines. Has also been published as a book.
3. Sev Trek http://cartoons.sev.com.au/Sev-Space/Sev-Trek/
Australian Star Trek and general Scifi show parody. Includes audience participation and a large archive. You have to pay to use the archive but they show a small selection of its contents every day for free. Has an animated movie.
4. Death Note http://groups.msn.com/BCAM/deathnotechapters17.msnw?Page=9
A well known Manga featuring an intelligent yet twisted schoolboy who gains access to a not book that allows him to kill people by writing their names in it. |

Well I stopped being a fan of comic's after being whipped for reading one in class
by my father.
But as a kid I could draw a perfect copy of Heathcliff and read comics books(real books full of comic strips) about Heathcliff.
I'm trying to do my on animated cartoon. My avatar is not my design but I rendered it
with Povray. |

The only one I regularly check out these days is Shortpacked! (a strip about toy collecting, Transformers, bizarre relationships, and the crappiness of retail work), which can be found at:

Shortpacked, and its sibling comic Joyce and Walky! (though I only manage to catch the weekend edition, owing to lack of subscription)
www.joyceandwalky.com is where you'll find it. _________________ Garlic is always there to help you in matters of the heart (pun intended), no matter what. |

Favorite internet comics are XKCD, which I entirely adore-http://xkcd.com/399/
and Sinfest, which is better if you start reading at the beginning, just because a lot of the humor is character based. . .
Favorite print comics are the ever classic Calvin and Hobbes, Get Fuzzy, Boondocks, Baby Blues, and Zits. Far side is also extremely lovable, despite often being less funny.
Also LOVE Jules Pfeifer's work, as blogged about here. http://www.everydaycitizen.com/2008/02/jules_feiffer_and_feiffers_ame.html
Thanks for the recommendations, everyone. . |

McMorbid - This is probably my favourite webcomic. It's just so random, and the main character is adorable! ^-^ It also suits my sense of humour perfectly, especially the RPG comic.
Lilformers - This is a parody of Transformers, and it's so funny, especially if you're a Transformers fan. It's great to see the Transformers characters drawn in a chibi style, too! |

Lackadaisy Cats- A very well drawn anthro action-drama set in the 1920/30's, also with some comedy.
