i now live on the blue mountains, just beyond the western outskirts of sydney.
here is a clip that shows both sydney and the blue mountains.
Not really, a bland water crossing , and a strange and run down looking building on water. What else has it to offer ? (little else if I where to believe the vid)
Sydney is like 80's party city frequented by the white shoe brigade, they "had a good time" they moved on * and let the place go in to disrepair, yet hardly anybody notices.
Sydney I automatically think austerican , for &*(^s sake it doesn't even have a subway system . Lausanne (Switzerland ) with 1/50 the population has one admittedly it is rather small. (we can thank the Greens for that one)
*partly due to over priced housing I imagine
Brisbane is little better , a bad parody of Sydney some have said _________________ Theirs a subset of America, adult males who are forgoing ambition ,sex , money ,love ,adventure to sit in a darkened rooms mastering video games - Suicide Bob

BTW everyone, all of these locations look great. I better start saving up now!
Don't go to Sydney one of the Planet Guides girls (tv show) (the makers of Lonely Planet) guides who I respect was like than she came to the Gold Coast and she looked like she was about to throw up.
Do go to Switzerland though it's like Disney World run by Mormons (I think you said you wanted to go their) but meant in a good way _________________ Theirs a subset of America, adult males who are forgoing ambition ,sex , money ,love ,adventure to sit in a darkened rooms mastering video games - Suicide Bob
What I'm saying if your North American or to a lesser extent English I'm not sure why you'd spend $100,000's * and being cooped up in a flying bus for 24hrs ++ to visit a "similar difference"
Even Bush 2 said "Australia " reminded him of Texas.
Perhaps he hasn't been to Melbourne probably the only interesting city in Australia though he would than say it reminds him of the UK ( British comedians while on tour here have joked about it)
*well it would feel that way with the strong aussie $ _________________ Theirs a subset of America, adult males who are forgoing ambition ,sex , money ,love ,adventure to sit in a darkened rooms mastering video games - Suicide Bob
That's cute is that your work? I think the way the crocodile was drawn might be the giveaway.
Sorry for being so negative I would have thought honesty would be appreciated here?
I visited the place just " to confirm what has been said by many people" ditto Canberra (it's totally put me off wanting to visit any master planed city anywhere in the world, like Brasilia)
The worst 4 days of my life and I had to suffer the effects of stupid cold as well ie cold without snow. _________________ Theirs a subset of America, adult males who are forgoing ambition ,sex , money ,love ,adventure to sit in a darkened rooms mastering video games - Suicide Bob
I think that's why it hit the mark, Canberra was awful , if it wasn't for the flora and fauna which was beautiful I probably would have put a bullet to my head.
Before I went I thought will I see a kangaroo, and yes I did sadly it was dead probably struck by a car, it was on the Parliament grounds , so yes seeing kangaroos hop about around the Parliament grounds was a unique experience! (not something you see every day.)
Canberra a city in the bush , or if your not so kind 6 suburbs in search. of a city! I have no idea where those 400,000 people live
Was I right op you where considering Switzerland? _________________ Theirs a subset of America, adult males who are forgoing ambition ,sex , money ,love ,adventure to sit in a darkened rooms mastering video games - Suicide Bob

Actually, I must say that Switzerland is one of my countries that I want to visit in Europe. It was definitely on my list.
