During the course of my life, I have been mistaken for Asian more times than I can count, mainly because my eyes are almond shaped and really small, my face is broad, my cheekbones are high, and yes, my nose is small.
Thing is, no one in my family looks like that. My family is nothing but white hispanics, dark haired, white skin, narrow faces, and average-size noses. Is that an Aspie thing, or totally unrelated to autism, just genetics. _________________ Your Aspie score: 163 of 200

That's just a genetic thing...there is no "look" for autism. _________________

You probably show some latent Asiatic features from the indigenous tribes that mixed with the Spaniards. Most Hispanics tend to be mestizo, though the percentage varies.
Or your mom may have had an affair.

I've been mistaken for all sorts of different ethnicities and I'm not sure why.
I have very pale white skin but very dark hair (it can look almost black). I've been asked if I'm Arab, Jewish, Romany and Irish. I don't really mind this at all. In actual fact I am a mix of Scottish, English and Spanish. |

I've always been told in past that I look like I'm Portuguese. Nowadays I get mistaken for being Arab, North African/Algerian mostly. Once someone thought I was American. Not sure what type of American he thought I was, Hispanic I suppose. _________________ And then there was one. |

People have never mistaken me for another race, but ethnicity, yes.
I've been asked if I was Chinese (even though I have some Chinese blood), Fillipino, and Japanese before. _________________ "Magic is any sufficiently advanced technology." - Arthur C. Clarke

I have been mistaken for Asian, mostly online due to my name - but as far as I am concerned, I am about as Asian as a non-biological Asian can get. Food preference and everything. A few people have asked if I was Australian once, because apparently I spontaneously start talking with an accent (not-American accent I should say)
In other news,
I have heard that ASD people look younger than they are (someone thought I was a high school a year into college) |

I've been mistaken for German. I wasn't too offended.
I have been mistaken for Scottish before. I was a bit offended but I can be offended, it doesn't make any difference. |

People often ask me where I come from, and when I tell them my hometown, they say, "No, I mean originally! What country?" But I'm pretty sure this is because of the unusual way I speak rather than my looks. _________________ "And there are days when I would be away . . . Oh, wherever men of my sort used to go, long ago.
