Something you people fail to understand is that there is no real manipulationin PUA. Lets face it, going into the one place in the world where its not just ok, but the norm and even expected out of you to ask someone for casual sex being a club. The people in the game manipulated ech other more than they did women. Theyd offer to be a wingman or free training to be able to enter better clubs. As much as they sell their crap to be manipulation most of them dont even seem to believe half their own sh**. I remember seeing a video of 'gambler' picking up some russian chick with someone narrating what was happening. The guy probably said 5 words in the 10 minute video to the girl. And i bet 2 of them were "wanna f**k".

So now that we have removed actual manipulation from wanting to manipulate (2 different things) we have to check what real manipulation is. For example, being nice to someone to get something from them. Be it sex, money, power, connections, etc. That is real manipulation. Being an as*hole who goes through women like tissue paper until one says yes is not manipulation. If anything the only one being manipulated is the guy that fell for the PUA lifestyle.

3rd If someone falls for your PUA self and you come to the realization that you need to go back to your old self because youve lost touch with who you were/your old buddies stopped calling you/whatever chances are that they´ll feel cheated when you go back to your non PUA persona.

That sounds horribly like what happens in some AS-NT relationships - the ones on the rocks, the NT feels unloved by the Aspie, and when asked why she chose him, she says he was different at first. The PUA special interest has made itself redundant, can't be continued anyway or she'll probably kill you (and rightly so). So, you tumble out of your Trojan horse and revert to type, probably soon to feel bored or out of your depth with this real person who now sees you in your true colours. The mating game is one of the most exciting things you can do, and a deliberately supercharged, fast-track version will have you so engrossed that you won't feel the energy drain.

A Venusian artist goes into the field night after night primarily to improve his calibration and to internalize his skill set. You're not trying to "get this one girl" or even "get laid tonight," Rather, you practice with the long-term goal of having a powerful social skill set in the future, one you may confidently turn on in times of need, When you don't need it, you don't use it. When you do, you're ready.

The problem with this thread...it's applying sweeping generalizations to a group of people who have wildly divergent intentions.

Wouldn't be WP if it wasn't.

I view it as certain people's way of avoiding a loss in a discussion. If you generalize or use statistics to extrapolate average data for a group, it's invalid because it doesn't deal with individuals. If you deal with individuals, then it's invalid because you can't apply individual data to groups. So, the "WP method" has to be:

A form of data that applies both on a general level across populations and takes into account each individual special snowflake at the same time.
