A lot of you are saying this is parody, but have you guys actually read the comments on that thread? Parody is making fun of someone by copying and perhaps slightly exaggerating their words or actions. But who are these people parodying with this Aspers thread? Are they parodying a church with these comments? I have never heard a church say anything like this about Asperger's. I have never heard anyone say anything like this at all. So when these people are the ones producing the most offensive hate filled comments that any of us have probably ever seen it is not parody, it is just a bunch of bigots calling their hate speech parody to try to make it okay.

I just don't understand why this is okay. If someone put up a website saying "murder all black people because they are subhuman" would you be pissed off, then all of a sudden change your mind and think it's funny because they add the disclaimer "*this is parody"?

Let me show you a quote of one of the comments on that thread. Do any of you think this is actually funny?

There seems little point in discussing or quoting material from the Landover Baptist Church site, some of which is clearly seen as offensive by WP members, because doing so will very likely cause further offence here.

Ultimately, issues with the content of that site will need to be addressed somewhere other than our forums and consequently, this thread is being locked.
