Sorry about it being stretched, I couldnt figure out how to get it to show up normally.
[Mod. edit: fixed that for you! ]
Non-stretched version: here |
WOW an uncluttered windows desktop, congrats, telling windows to bugger off every time it wants to put a shortcut onto your desktop takes persistence. Perhaps you should explore the freedom from institutionalised garbage that is Linux _________________ "I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance anyday"

Has anyone managed to use a drop down box or some other way to load their programs onto the desktop- the problem with icons is that they obscure the background
Im sure you can use a web page as your background, if you made your picture the background to that page and had a drop down box or two. Also is it possible to do this in Linux.
My desktop at the moment is nothing special [I might upload a picture when I get Linux running again, tonight Windows is going to get burned- I thought this thread would be people posting pictures of their desktop computers [hardware] eg their desk or their computers case/innards mentioning the specification. Im sure a few people on here have pretty cool setups. I have a 17 inch HP laptop, an ASUS netbook and an empty ATX case - I need to find a motherboard for. |

Openbox with Xfce's panel. I don't have a more interesting wallpaper, because it'd just be covered (usually by a web browser).

Yes, some of the Rainmeter elements are redundant, but they just look awesome to me, hence why they remain.
I've been too lazy to actually set up a desktop environment for my Arch-Linux. _________________ "'Cos it's gonna be the future soon
