I'm not trying to pull an AspieOtaku here :) , but let's see what happens with this post....
After posting here for a few months, I've decided that many of the men on this board have some Serious issues with women in general. Probably this comes from bad experiences? I don't know. I didn't cause them.
I have been posting here for a few months, & I don't mind saying that a lot of the attitudes here have simply put me off. I'm beginning to see men as a group as being really hostile to women & That's Not Good for me or maybe even for single women who read this board. I'd like to think that this board doesn't represent the views of most men, on or off the spectrum.

Unfortunately, it seems to be pretty toxic, & toxic to the extent that it's beginning to colour my attitude. If can't read this stuff ($#!+) anymore. Not if I want to continue to like men as a group & as individuals.

Do any of you, 'Nice" & otherwise realize how completely NUTZ many of you sound blaming women & feminists & NT women as a group for all your problems?

Apologies to the men & women here who are fair & have a balanced viewpoint. This board needs you BADLY!! :)

To that lil' local group of aspie PUA wannabees that decided to dehumanize me & make me into a game piece this past Summer. Well, thanks for that.. I had more than enough of my own problems @ that time. I didn't need anymore. :x (& I really Don't like men in their 20's. 'Never have, never will. Not even when I was in my teens & 20's.) I was never condescending or rude to you. Maybe you respect mean people more?
To the Leader of the pack -Yup, I really did like you until you became a major part of the problem & you know what they say. "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem." I don't know what the 'rules' where in that game. All I know is: Rebels aren't pawns. If you want to Pizz Off a rebel, just try & play them. Maybe :? you did actually like me @ one time, but after all that weirdness, & creepiness, it doesn't count for much. I now know that you enjoy manipulating & hurting people & that's about all I will ever know about you. It's not a nice remembrance.

'Maybe see you WP folks later? I don't know. :?

I don't think it's hate, it's that's many of them want a partner to just magically appear without any effort on their part.

This, a thousand times. Some people have serous, deep-seated issues. Not willing or can't learn about and acquire the traits that make it possible to be in a relationship with another human being.

I've lived a long time and I've learned that men who hate, dislike, have a bad attitude about or are hostile towards women make terrible partners. Ladies, they will abuse you and unleash their rage onto you. Run, ladies, run.

Well I would think alot of guys here have been trying to get a GF for awhile and it never works out. If you keep trying at something and it not working that could make you bitter towards what you wanted.

Well I certainly don't hate women. Somehow I get the feeling that the vast majority of men on these forums don't either...after all it's kind of hard to cast a blanket of hate on 50% of the world's population.

That said, yes there are plenty of people on this forum who do obviously have serious issues with women. This is a forum designed for a subset of people who have serious issues with socialization, so I'd be surprised if that wasn't the case. That doesn't necessarily mean they hate women, but they have probably struggled immensely with romantic relationships and blame them at least partly for their failures and difficulties.

Oh NinsMom, a lot of WPers hardly frequent this forum for that exact reason. The place is rife with objectification and misogyny. You just avoid it in the end, because it's all the same topics, the same 'advice' and the same responses. Everybody here just refuses to change their opinions. I quote spongy from another thread:

spongy wrote:

Pick any two threads. Any.

Try to play spot the differences among the things regulars say in those threads.

Just so we are clear this is not helpfull advice.
Nevermind what thread you are on regulars will turn it to: girls have it easier/ nice guys^tm /okcupid/pua and everyone will just try to post their own personal opinion on the subject for the millionth time.

If I try things that don't work I take a good long look in the mirror. I'm in the process of changing myself.

I've only been here a couple of months, and I haven't come across any posts which suggest the author "hates" women. There's lots of confusion and misunderstanding, and some people expressing frustration about their particular relationship, but hate? not that I've seen, though obviously I may have missed those posts.

Some feminist issues can cause a bit of a flare-up at times, both here and in general, but I think that's partly because to an aspie mind, some writers can come across as being anti-male. The "Shrodinger's Rapist" article for example - I can be quite semantically pedantic at times, so when I read the claim "all men are potential rapists", it's comes across as offensive since the vast majority of men would never do such a thing. If the article had said "women perceive, or have to consider all men to be potential rapists", it would be much less likely to provoke a response.

It's about clear communication and thinking carefully about how your words will be understood by others, something both sexes need to be aware of. We all know how arguments can escalate due a a few badly chosen words.

^ One thing to note with the feminist issues on WP is that it's never the women bringing them up.

That's interesting. Personally I tend not to notice who's actually posting. That would be a whole load of extra information to process which would get in the way of my following the points being made. :)

I see as many posts of women posting about how bad men treated them in their relationship to guys posting they can't even get into a relationship...then the face-off starts between them.

I don't think anything posted in this forum is really a good idea to take at face value. Most of it is just venting and other crap. Not to say it isn't valid to be upset we are a group that deals with tons of frustration just trying to do simple social stuff and in most cases because of how society has forced people to act a certain way to play the game. I dislike the game no one personally.

Did you want to make a thread just so you could write about this?

DRAMA LLAMA. Why didn't you talk to these people in a personal message? They would probably feel bad and respect you more for messaging them about it, rather than whining in a thread.

It's Love and Dating, full of a lot of ASD's that don't see what they're doing wrong, so saying this isn't really helping.

There's always going to be men who hate women here, and women who hate men. It's not even strictly an ASD/Love and Dating thing. I see lots of my NT male friends not liking girls because they've just fallen for the wrong girls, and are now 'damaged goods'.

I am falling in love with Wind

Huh? What did I say?

Anyway, she's totally right, and this not particular for WP only, this exists in ALL love forums; go to pof forums, okcupid boards, Yahoo questions, hell even 9gag's comments - men bitter about women and love exist everywhere on the net.

In political circles, it's even worse. One's entire attitude toward women can rest solely on their views on abortion, or whether they think Hillary would be a good president.
