what do you mean?
it appears that we can't compete with asian countries because we are less willing to accept moden day slavery and destruction of our environment than say, china.
so... in the capitalist competition, we are refusing to make extensive use of the performance enhancing drugs of slavery and pollution that will lead to premature death due to heart failure, so to speak, but would allow us to "win".
the question is: do capitalism, i.e. competition, compatible with the ideas of democ3acy and wealth for all.... I think not. and I think this is by design. Capitalism isn't so muc failing, as it is failung
