Are humans animals?

Because we aren't animal-like. If we were I would agree but I just can't because I have seen too many examples of being human.

Okay here's an example of what I am talking about. There's one here on this board right now. Gun toting humans suggest all with guns shoot them at the same time 12 noon April 19. Give me one example of this lunacy in the animal kingdom. An honest to goodness example, not just a vague dolphins gang up on misfit dolphins type comparison which I don't buy. I think animals can act like the humans from time to time but all in all they are worlds apart.

Look at those idiots at Black Friday sales.Trampling people to get 50% off a tv.Talk about a stampede.Pretty primitive if you ask me.My dog has better sense than most of them,and he's better behaved and always pleasant to be around.Cant say that for most humans.

Well, we are human. And humans are animals. Various species behave differently, though we may judge that particular behaviours are rooted in certain commonalities. So it goes for humans. Human behaviour may or may not find analogues with other species - whilst I think human behaviour is best dealt with and understood on a human level, that doesn't mean there can't be interesting or useful comparisons to other species.

Humans are animals, mammals to be specific.
Homo Sapiens has thought of more & better ways to torture, mass murder, exploit & at the same time rationalize those processes than any other animal. We have cured disease, reached out into Space, but we have no idea what is in our oceans or what the dog is saying to you. (Some say dogs have been with us for over 15,000 years, some say more like 20,000 years. That's a long time to remain ignorant.)

Border collies are planning a takeover now,it will be a better world.

We are animals, wild ones at that. Any pretense of 'domestication' or 'civilisation' is inherantly misleading because they are social frameworks that we ourselves have constructed as feral creatures, not much differant than wolves, horses, bovines, and other social animals.

Sure we are. But we really wish we weren't.

Were closely related to the chimpanzee and the bonobo we walk upright like the bonobo mate in similar positions like the bonobo but have the violent destructive behavior of the chimpanzee, we even kill for fun like the chimpanzee and out of anger like the chimpanzee in some ways we are even meaner than chimps because we dont care about the destruction we cause to the land when we get greedy or go to war.
