I have no problem calling them Daesh. I have a problem with standing behind a megaphone taunting, antagonizing and provoking.."trolling" the enemy. Begging for an opportunity to spill blood. Idiocy. If you want a fight, shut up and do it. Stop with the interaction unless the interaction is utilizing terminology designed to initiate peaceful dialogue, even if you think peaceful dialogue is beyond impossible.

That isn't really the point, the point is to give them less of an impact, and not to legitimize their cause.

We do their publicity for them, these group are product of the modern era of media (which ironic because they want to back to the dark ages).

I live in France and I'm half French, and what I'm going to say it not very politically correct.
The reason France is calling ISIS DAESH (what means the exact same thing in Arabic) is because France doesn't want to offend the Muslim community, 6 to 8 million Muslims in France out of a population of 65 million people, so that is a big percentage of the population. So not to offend them they decided to use DAESH, what removes the word Islamic or State from the French language.
Other explanation is the French always want to be different from the rest of the world, when the entire world used the word e-mail, the French use Courriel.
