IMHO, snakehead's later comment about how crist should have brought along ice shows him to be a very petty man.

The only voter ID law I like is anyone who has proof of residence in Florida should not vote.

So Scott makes Louie Gohmert look like a genius, but the opponent is a former governor who tried to force the State Supreme Court to commit a HIPAA violation and give others' Social Security numbers unknowingly to promote an anti-vaccination campaign. Pick your poison.

and CNN sided with gov. snakehead! fans are now banned at any debate vetted by CNN. the bastards! they are supposed to be impartial! they are NOT supposed to side with the gov over crist. :x next thing you know, the gov will insist on a minimum temperature of 80 degrees at future debates. I would not put such past him. I am sensitive to this issue because like crist, I am also heat-sensitive.

but due to voter suppression [well-known shenanigans at election time including official-looking mailers mass-mailed to minority voting districts with false information designed to mislead voters, among many other dirty tricks], as well as felon lists deliberately not updated] a lot of those are prevented from voting or their votes are not accurately counted.

Even if that's true, and I'm not saying it is, you'd still want to "marginalise" an entire BLUE state with about 30 electoral votes to contribute to an election?

you are correct, I should not have quite so readily engaged in that bit of facetious hyperbole. they did [despite the odds] go for Obama the first time.

The spread of LGBT rights, the fight against voter disenfranchisement, and the like is some progress.

I wonder if you'd be as concerned if it were republican voters being "disenfranchised". I'm guessing not since they don't know what's good for them and vote against their own best interests, according to you.

I'm starting to think it's more about fighting against the conservatives than it is fighting for the underdog.......

LGBT rights are only inevitable for the same reason why blacks were given their rights - because progressives fought for it.
As for me not caring if conservatives were being disenfranchised - you don't know well me after all.
And in regard to me fighting conservatives than for the underdog - well, as it's conservatives who seem determined to hurt the underdog, those fights are often indistinguishable.
