Of course I know that but if you get tested, then wait for about a few month's or so and then get tested again before attempting to get sexual, then you should be able to find out about most STD's. For example, HIV can't always be detected quickly because it has a 6 month incubation period but if you wait for that amount of time before being tested again, then you should find out whether or not they have it. Yes, I know that someone who's more promiscuous have a higher risk of getting an STD but the risk is still much lower if they're using protection. If they don't like the request, then you can offer to get tested yourself, along with them. Also, just asking them is unlikely to solve the problem because in all probability, they aren't going to tell the truth about how many people they had slept with previously, so getting screened for STD's is really your best option, that and using condoms.

first that's expensive and painful(needles so many needles) my insucance only pays for it once a year.

2nd . what :S omg that going make me super worried again :( i waited like little over 3 months before I got tested and they said all clear. so now you say it wouldn't got picked up :S :S :S :S :S :S :S

no one told me this or i'd waited longer :"(
never going have sex again one time is already too damaging.

Edit.says 2-8 weeks (up to 2 months) after infection, most people will have enough antibodies to test positive
12 weeks (3 months) after infection, about 97% of people will have enough antibodies to test positive
so should i be safe ?

Yes, I think that you are safe, so don't worry. Why is it damaging? I also thought that you didn't have a girlfriend.

Yeah, but it's not like 3/4 of the population is HIV+ or anything. I'm disease-free and I've certainly had my share of risky behavior.

I once got a boil on my tool?totally freaked me out. Turned black and everything. I was, like, WHAT??? The girl I was sleeping with at the time had never had a bf before me, but the fling I had not too many months before her?well?I didn't know all that much about her history though she seemed safe enough.

Turns out a boil is a boil. Didn't hurt or anything, just looked nasty. I popped it and it healed up within a couple of days. Haven't had any problems since. When I got married, our state law required a blood test. That came up clear. Quite simply, know who you're with and as much about them as you can. The pickier you are, generally the easier it's going to be to avoid getting a disease. There's nothing wrong at all with just not having sex.

HIV is scary. From what I understand, some people can go years with the virus and it not even show up, and even longer before they show symptoms of AIDS. It's not the death sentence it once was, but it's still not an easy thing to have to live with.

I don't but I had sex twice with a girl i met, used condom both times that was back when i first joined here. damaging cause of all this std risk and anxiety and cause of the emotional drama. if i'd never had sex i'd never been at risk and never gone months with anxiety that i may have to go through again.
