Last movie I saw was the movie Taegukgi:brotherhood of War(a korean war film from korea). It was one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. I'm so glad my blocbuster managed to pick it up. I cry so hard every time I see that movie.

Yep. Back when my ex-roommate owned a house, a friend of ours worked at a Chinese restaurant, one of the owner's sons was really big into martial arts from that movie and from him she was was going on and on about how great Tony Jaa was. She actually got some of the other neighbors going on about him as well. Saw Honor Of The Beast first, then this only recently. They were all saying that he might be the next best thing to Bruce Lee - the trouble is, anything that's Thai or Phillipino in terms of martial arts (currently taking Kali from a heck of an instructor), is just going to be that raw because....well....its smokes Tae Kwon Do and Karate by miles. Bruce Lee's invention of JKD was heavily Phillipino influenced.
Did you ever see Chocolate btw? Same director, about a girl who's an autistic Muay Thai savant, her screen name is Jeejah or something to that effect - she's ridiculous to watch as well. The thing that REALLY blows my mind about watching Tony Jaa or Jeejah though, you watch them beat the hell out of henchmen, walk up their faces, and yet you realize they're soft-footing it meaning they're that good that they can do that kind of thing while very deliberately not doing physical harm to the actors - you can only imagine what would happen if the gloves came off. |

| I watched this movie called kung pow, it's crack up they redub old hong kong movie footage and green screen in an actor to hilarious effect. |

Saw Where the Wild Things Are in theatres (loved it) and rewatched Capturing the Friedmans on dvd.

"It Might Get Loud"
Excellent movie. A documentary where they bring together Jimmy Page, The Edge, and Jack White to discuss music and have a jam session. They also get into each artists' backgrounds, how they got where they are, and the creative processes they use. It's a lot more than just a bunch of guitarists getting together and trading licks.

| i have seen many movies recently but i do not know what they are called because the sound on the tv was off, and i was not interested in the slightest to look at the screen for more than a glimpse. there were movies on when i glimpsed the TV but that is all i can say. |
