Hey,
Does anyone else here feel as if they would be better off in some form of hospital / home or whatever you want to call it?
I just can't seem to function in life with family, friends or work. |

Ditto.
While yes, sometimes I would be better off there you WILL NOT get me into a hospital unless I'm half dead, you've knocked me out or its SO critical I have no other choice.

Fair points, I guess that my idea of hospitialisation is pretty far from the reality of it, and I guess what I truly want is to be left to live in my own wee world rather than face real life. |

Not really,
But sometimes when anxiety is very high feel like climbing the walls. Guess it depends how well you can function yourself. Such as how well you handle most basic responsibilities. Hospital is good if you(persons) needs everything and 100% everything automated to the feeding point (both nutrition and nurture). Also if no one around for some extra guidance if you need it.
P.S: Some nurses seem to be extra "gentle" and "careful" from the start. Instead of judgmental and giving wrong facial Q's and way they speak too. But try to reserve your stay away from a hospital unless you really need it. It is like being confined, costly and not always a good rommate. I been in the hospital number of times such as for nutrition and suspect of Leukemia. Which turned to be a false positive doc said.

| I have been in the hospital when I was young and I HATED it. I would much rather be out and free then cuped up in the psych ward. Also Their are a lot of un sympathectic people in the world and the hospital is no exception. |

| I know some people who have been hospitalized, and they hated it. I would never want to be hospitalized. I don't think you would be allowed to be in your own little world by the way. You'd be constantly nagged by therapists and supervised by nurses, and you'd have crazy roommates to deal with. |

| I was hospitalized in the past and would go to extreme lengths to avoid this happening again. I work in a care home and would most definatly say they can often be really bad places, basic needs are hardly met, quality of life is low. |

I don't think I would like to be put in a home. Sometimes I would like to be more independent and have considered going into one, just to teach me the basic skills to survive. I could be in a home Mon-Fri, go home for the weekends and still go out during the day. Maybe in the future...I will have to think about it. _________________ The Lephrachauns Made Me Do It! |
