I have a rat and her name is Splinter. She is my best freind. she is very smart and such a gentle soul. We give each other so much love. Watch this cute video with her and me!
Who else has ratties? you should get one they are such great companions and have been scientifically proven that they are smarter than dogs.
I once met a pet rat. It was placed on my shoulder, whereupon it promptly pissed on me. Sorta puts you off animals when they decide your shirt is a convenient latrine. _________________ I'm more of a "good for Dave" kinda guy. And feeding people to dragons is good for Dave.

Lovely video. My niece used to have a rat. Superb pets. She would go down to the pub with it in her jumper. Locals got to know it quite well. Non-locals got severely freaked out - their problem, not ours. _________________ quark, n. The sound made by a well bred duck.

I've had squirrel. They're like tree rats... They aren't bad unless you get an old one... then they're kinda chewy. _________________ Come on monsters, you don't have to cry... we can be HAPPY !!!

That is a great video! Rats are indeed awesome.
My girlfriend and I have 13 rats as of now. It is mainly my girlfriend who has a major rat obsession but over time I really have grown to enjoy having them as well. I think they are wonderful pets - so intelligent, curious and loving. And their antics are an endless source of amusement. It is interesting just to watch them interact with each other and how their little rat society works. They each have their own distinct personality.
It is a shame that most of the world doesn't understand the difference between "wild" rats and "fancy" rats (the pet kind). They aren't filthy disease-ridden mean critters at all. I've never been bitten by one. They are probably the most ideal pet I've encountered.
Here are a couple pics of some of our rats in a recent photo shoot:
We had to bribe them with yogies (their favorite snack) to get them to stay in one place.
