I have experienced times like that with more
than one person.

Any examples you care to give?

Hmmmmmm?

ehhh. . .not particulary intense. More of a falling out (whatever that means)

Yes, the big-foot love orgy is very entertaining! Twisted Evil

I can think of two people that I have burned bridges with. One of them is the same person I spoke about in the "New Obsession" thread, the other one is someone who I really didn't think I liked. I sent her an e-mail pointing out what I thought were her negativities, then I went on and on about one of my old jobs and ways she could improve herself. Now, I wish I could have done otherwise to make our relationship better.

I burned a lot of bridges when I moved from Canada to the United States when I was 15. Some "friends" who didn't know sh** about me, didn't care to find out, and wouldn't have understood even if I had told them. And now I never have to talk to them or pretend to like them ever again! Twisted Evil

I think I once called one of my then freinds a ponce.....
He hasn't spoken to me since.

Ermmm. I stabbed someone with a pen.....

And I recall ones seriously loosing it and attacking the headmaster at primary school, not long before I was diagnosed.

As you can see, this was all before I was diagnosed.

I have regretted that it was necessary to burn a bridge but the actual "burning of bridges" I have never regretted.

It takes ALOT to get me to that point and so, when I cut, sever, burn or turn my back on something/someone it is for good. I cannot do otherwise because to keep it in my life after so much pain would be to continue on a path of pain.

I try not to hold grudges because to hold a grudge would only be destructive to me and my path in life. I can forgive or let go of anger & pain only if I do not have to return to whatever path has caused me grief. I guess I go by the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Just replace the word fool with the word hurt.

I think, if you wish to burn bridges, just remember to be on the right side of the road afterwards and never look back.

(This sounds harsh, I know, but I have burned very few bridges.)

I'm sorry to say, I think it's too late for me to do anything about my situation now.
