Hiya, i confirmed my beliefs today.....
I also find the bible really confusing, but i like the palms (or however it is spelt)....
I love the idea that God can love me for who i am, aspie or Nt it doesent matter, he made me exactally how i need to be to do what i need to do for him.

I find that it helps to either pray that the meaning will be revealed though the Holy Spirit or I talk with trusted Christians about thier opinions. Than I pray about it more and make a decision. It actually does take some effort on some passages, but even tha Apostle Paul acknowledged that we would find some things hard to understand.

Please read your bible before asking questions that are already answered in the bible. Yes, the bible does explain why it is written in confusing parables. Grab your bible and lookup Mark 4:11-12. Or I quote it following:

As Jesus himself explains above, the reason why he talks in parables is to confuse people so that they will go to hell (not be forgiven). Yes I know that is sadistic, but if you had actually read your bible you would already know that Jesus is sadistic. |

You must be looking for an asskicking, but anyway Ill let you say that if you can tell me how creatures formed with the 2nd law of thermodynamics the way it is.

HA!!! This is an easy one!!! christians trying to use the 2nd law of thermodynamics to disprove evolution ignore one simple fact.
The earth isn't a closed loop system. It's always receiving energy from the sun. DUH!!!

By the way, just in case anyone thought I posted a fake bible quote or was making a joke, no, the bible really does contain that quote. Get your bible and look it up. Mark 4:11-12.

You are quite correct. An open thermodynamic system creates less entropy. THIS PROVES MY POINT AND INVALIDATES YOURS!!!

You seem like the type that burns bibles in your spare time when should I start preparing for your type to make relegion illegal??? Oh and I got an A in an advanced chem class this year though yeah I am generally better with social sciences then the natural variety.

I do find studying the Bible by myself quite hard. But I love small group studies because no one thinks like me. Therefore, the things I "get", help the other more "normal" people, while what they "get" helps me. What I really think is cool about the Bible is that it is living. Just read one of the books and then wait 10 years and read it again. It will mean something completely different then. I love how it communicates to my needs anytime. It is super natural but much more fun in a group I feel safe with.
I really don't think it is just a history book though. I think it talks to me now and the symbolism I get is for me while others will get other things.
When Jesus was talking to the rich man, he told him to give away everything and follow him. But when the religious leader ask him how to get to heaven, He told him a weird where does the wind come from? Then basically told the leader, you can't do it, it has to come from above. How cool - that the same question produced a different response from Jesus based on the individual who asked the question.
God is Super Natural! He is sooo cool. |
